Forums - Website Topics - "sales" in the webpage

Hi everyone :)

I would like to know how do I have to do to see the actual sale number of a game in the new format of the page :/

Not just the first ten weeks because if the release date of the game is different in Japan from Usa you can´t actually see the Usa ones :/

I assume you're referring to the recent change in the game database when you search for a game? You can still see the sales for the individual platforms, but the total for all platforms seems to be gone now. The total for each platform is above the first 10 weeks in the sales history table once you click on an individual platform for that game.

I think he means where you used to be able to click on "Global" "Japan" "USA" etc and see both the first 10 weeks of sales for that territory and a total for each year in that territory.

The new database is indeed a massive downgrade in terms of seeing the sales. I believe Talonman has said it's only temporary though, so hopefully we'll get all of that information back sooner or later.

Yes I was referring to this :) I really look after the sales of the gameso I always look at the "real totals" sales :P

I hope they add them again :P

Thanks for the help :)

And on the issue of figures for games sales, any chance to see downloaded games figures too?
Cause without it not only the games sales are incomplete as we only see how many physical copies any given game has sold and not downloaded copies but for some games we end up with no figures at all and I mean those games that can only be obtained through a download.

Example I'd love to know how many copies Sonic Mania has sold, I've heard it's done well but how well?

Yes - ALL of this is only temporary, as I had (have!) many ideas in mind as to how to bring this all back.

Unfortunately, I've fallen a bit behind on my "post live" updates, as a number of small bugs seem to have cropped up over the past few days - some of which have ballooned into not-so-small updates - and it's gotten to be more than a little annoying, now...

Working as quick as I can to get things back under control, at which time I will be turning my attention to the sales number. We ARE a sales reporting site, after all - and I have NEVER forgotten the mission around here, for VGChartz.

Without sales, we are just another gaming website and that's NOT the direction we're headed - EVER!

I love the dedication. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for making VGChartz great again and making it all up to date, keep up the good work.

We're getting there, guys - everybody hang tight. Getting the database up and running was just the beginning. It was a HUGE undertaking, just getting it this far - and once we get it all buttoned up and the rest of these issues sorted our, we'll be making A LOT more improvements, I assure you... :)

Thanks for all the hard work :)

:D
