Not actually true many of the recent ones are announced a few days in advance only ones that are announce in a bigger timescale are E3s.

Two days though? Who is going to watch it if nobody knows about it? If they are going to announce upcoming games in a direct presentation to the public, I doubt they would give less than 2 days notice. Anything is possible, but seems very very unlikely.

Many of them have been a day or two before they air especially in recent times that's not uncommon for NDs.

Yeah they wouldn’t have it this early unless it was publicized first. The past directs were announced about a week in advance.

Actually Amazon done same thing in January last year before January Switch event. Nintendo Directs are usually  announced only 1-2 days in advance, we never had a week announced in advance.

Not really special when that's inevitably going to be the norm if it isn't already. I have no doubt that Kirby/Mario Party (depending on region) are the last 1st party 3DS titles.

Well the 3DS does have a few more titles lined up for it. Like Sushi Striker, Detective Pikachu, the third Dillon game, and perhaps one unannounced game. But yes, Nintendo is starting to move on from it now. I think the 3DS will be in a general Nintendo Direct around March or April. January is where its going to be all Switch, all the time. Once Nintendo does phase out the 3DS however, I do see them replacing the 3DS section with their mobile games.

Ah, last retail titles I should of said. I recall them already covering that Sushi game in the last direct, and when was the last time we heard from Detective Pikachu? The West still hasn't gotten the game and Japan still only has episode 1. At this point I'd think they're shifting the series over to Switch. If they announce yet another game for 3DS then I will eat my Switch!

Retail, digital, they're all 3DS games. No need to make the distinction, especially since retail games are available to download from the eShop anyway.

Like 90% of Nintendo Directs are announced 2 days in advance.

If its on the 11th I hope it either airs in the morning at like 7 AM or at night at like 7 PM since I got class from 12 PM to 4:20 that day.

January 18th will be the next predicted day, then the 25th, until it happens.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Should we have gotten an announcement by now if it was on the 3rd?

Most likely, i guess there is a chance (very slim) that they announce it tomorrow morning and it airs Wednesday evening but i highly doubt it.
