Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I hate to say this, but the Switch commercials were right....

Greetings everyone,

I was at my friends house for his birthday and the UFC and decided to bring my sketch pad and Nintendo switch (just incase I got bored). There was an instance in the prelims where I actually got bored and decided to play Mario Kart on the switch with a friend. After a while we were having so fun that we forgot about the fight and people came to see what we were doing. Once they realized it was the switch, they started asking us questions while we were playing. Just by watching and answering questions, five of them are planning purchases. I guess the somewhat exaggerated commercials that Nintendo put out were not so far fetched. I still call bull on the basketball commercials though (LOL).

Looks like there will be fun days ahead.

Right? Like getting a Switch is a bad thing to do.

You hate the fact that..... you know what im confuse...

That's a cool story. I know a few people who got Switches for Christmas.

I agree that it's not that often that a commercial is actually true and that, this time, Nintendo has made a good job with the marketing of the Switch.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

He likely hates to say it because the ads looked very "commercialized." They don't seem natural or realistic.

It had to have been a bit weird, but awesome at the same time. I think that outcome is better than an awkward stare or some passive-aggressive comment about gamers.

He's admitting he was wrong about the ads not about getting one, many people thought the ads were very commercial in communicating the concept so didn't really like them much.

I saw a kid carrying his switch in McDonalds. I didn’t think people would walk around with them other than in commercials. So I understand your point.

I played my Switch while in a Taxi a week ago. I never play anything outside the house unless at someone else's house but playing Xenoblade 2 felt pretty awesome. When we rolled up to my stop I put it in the case pulled my luggage from the Taxi's trunk. It was oddly like the ads.
