Tagged games:

Here is the latest gameplay demo from the campaign Squadron 42 in Star Citizen.

Remembering this is a simulator not a linear action game and it is also in Pre-Alpha and is not finished. Everything you see is rendered in game and the boundaries of exploration is nothing we have seen at this level of quality. I highly suggest watching this in 4k or no less than 1080p.

This is a long demo, Enjoy.

Tip - Those that just want to see the scene where he travels to the planet, skip to the 46 minute mark.

That is still very janky, what is it running on? My laptop wasn't too great at landing on planets in ED yet at least it was a stable low frame rate, not this stuttering all the time. That with the pop up and weird straight shadow lines (see 48:43 for example) very much still Alpha build.

I don't see the amazing visuals that warrant this delay and poor performance, maybe it looks really good in 4K? You tube 1080p kinda muddles it a bit, yet that also hides a lot of the popup I would think. Boring grey/brown planet after 6 years, color me unimpressed.
At least the FPS section runs a lot smoother, yet why is that even in the game. I had visions of landing on lush green/blue planets like a grown up version of No Man's sky.

The past few years I've been wondering as to why people bother uploading to YT at all as YT butchers the final output render quality. The site gives you guideliens on what to expect if you upload certain file sizes, but they never actually specify just how badly they will butcher the quality of your vid if you go slightly over the mark or over it by far.

I think if there are devs that want to show off the visuals of a game, they should look to a different site that doesn't completely butcher video output quality.

Afaik, the devs had always wanted to toss in some action in terms of gunplay and dogfighting, rather than playing exactly like NMS.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

Even though it's still in Alpha, I can't help but admire the level of detail they've put into their textures. A lot of games out there only put half the effort into their textures, with other areas sporting far lower res detail in their texture work.

uhh.. hard to watch this, with this super inconsistent framerate, but I think the graphics do look amazing

Those uncompressed screens do better justice for the game than the butchered youtube video tbh.

If you guys didn't notice The Avenger in the video. I'm super glad they reworked it, she is massive now and can probably fit 2 rovers and have plenty of space for cargo.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X

Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5

wow, they practically gave her a rework entirely. She looks sleek and more defined than the previous model.

Also reminds me of the AI stealth fighter from Stealth:
