I can't go back to no GPS. The soundtrack still plays in my head, though. Great stuff and the talk radio station was the best thing ever!

You actually learn the map so quick when you don't use the GPS

And it's even funnier to me knowing the events of GTA V.

Could you expand on that? I'm curious.

I have fond memories of GTA 3, don't think I could put up with the graphics nowadays tho; looked amazing for its time but 3D open world graphics have improved so much that I'm not sure I can go back that far and still enjoy it.

Well like lazlo you see him a lot in gta v and on the radio too. Makes his talk show in 3 even funnier when you know his character more. I'm in stitches.

Anyway just completed the last pay phone caller race on the first island. It was after I killed salvatori so all his goons were shooting me making it almost impossible to complete. Honestly thought I wouldn't be able to do it but I pulled it off thank god.

Same.

Currently at 33%. 46 taxi fares complete and 37 packages found. Absolutely flying through it. It's so much fun.

Yeah, a couple years ago and they have aged like an open container of milk outside in 112-degree weather after a few hours. They are pretty terrible these days.

I played it earlier this year. Still decent. Definitely the worst of the 3d GTAs though. Vice City and especially San Andreas are much better!

Yeah that's why I started with this one. Will make vice city feel like a dream when I get onto it. It's also my favourite.

GTA 3 is awesome.... might just load it up on the ps4 and give it a play (I played it for a short while when it came out on the classic updates series - in fact I've brought all the rockstar ones :D

Planning to play GTA3 soon.

The only one of the classic 3D GTAs I havent played - already played VC and SA years ago.

Did you enjoy the others? Obviously this was their first GTA of that gen so it's more basic but I absolutely love it.

Yeah you can easily buy these classics and not play them for years. The trick is to get them on sale so it doesn't really matter when you bought them because it didn't cost much anyway.

My first GTA was either on the Game boy or Dreamcast. Top down mode. Still fun, but would be hard for me to want to touch again now.

What gta did the dream cast get?  And the game boy for that matter

I actually played it again a year or so ago on the iPad lol

In my opinion the graphics have indeed aged rather drastically, but that's no real surprise and it's not as bad as my return trip to Driver, though obviously that was older and on the PS1 so perhaps it's not a fair comparison.

The driving controls were superb though, which was no surprise to me. I recall even back in the days of GTA III and Vice City talking with friends about how we wished the driving in other games was closer to the GTA experience, and it's something I still feel to this day. I can't really think of another series where I can get so comfortable with the controls that I can calmly weave through traffic with inches to spare going top speeds with only the rare mistake, and that's a testament to the quality and the consistency of the controls.

Otherwise, the music is still great. The gameplay is more awkward than recent titles and such, but it's still a fun game.

Of course, Vice City on PS2 was my first GTA game and San Andreas was my 2nd.

I still consider both of them better than GTAIV which I played the most recent.

Yeah I love them all but vice city and San andreas were definitely better then 4. Nico is my favourite protagonist though.
