Another one bites the dust.

Around the Network

Wasn't it announced that these guys were taking over development on the next Tomb Raider game?

Making a successful online game involves a lot of luck. Lawbreakers was a good game but the masses decided to stick to Overwatch.

PUBG has taken the world by surprise, let's see if it is a game cappable of keeping this pace for the next 10 years like League of Legends which still is the world's biggest online game when it comes to number players (100 million +) and revenue ($ 1.5 - 2 billion+ a year).

RIP

This is a sad day.

Loved MD but it bombed, franchise is probably dead too, i don’t believe them.

I imagine SE was like:

It's pretty easy to see a good number of AAA pubs/studios hopping on the GaaS bandwagon.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

If SE treated their Japanese devs like this. All of them would have been shutdown long ago. So inefficient.

It was a rumor with a picture.

I think this is odd. Squeenix announced these studios were gonna work on marvel games, the tomb raider leaked and now they say multiplayer. It sounds like there's a whole mess over there and squeenix isn't handling it so well. I'm worried about the future of eidos montreal and crystal dynamics.

So I expect Deus Ex Online with pay to win lootboxes in 2 years.

SE just wants to lead a "quiet life"

But yeah, having the studio work on MP, rather than SP seems like a really dumb move. We don't need every publisher jumping on the GaaS wagon. If all of them do it, then they will only fall much harder when the market is over saturated with the same type of games, the same type of MT's and loot boxes, and the same type of "services".
