Uhhhh, the x has more enhanced games than the pro that have been announced... Also dont know what you mean by you have a hard time telling which one is the more powerful console when 95% of the games that DF has shown preform better on the x. It's definitely the most powerful and advanced piece of technologie that the gaming market has ever seen

at 700% zoom......really that is your argument???

Lol could use that same argument at every game that runs better on pc than the pro.... really that is your argument???

But I was mostly talking about the pixel count and the framerate

I purchased an X1X because most of the games I play are 3rd party, and the X1X will typically have the best versions of those games.

However, I think it’s fair to say the differences between the X1X and PS4 Pro aren’t as big as they should be. The X1X is not being pushed and utilized correctly. Just dumping in more pixels is not enough. The overall experience and presentation should be superior across the board.

Using PS4 Pro as feeder for X1X is okay for now, but by the end of 2018 I’m expecting to see titles that put a significant gap between PS4 Pro and X1X.

It’s so powerful that if you buy one you don’t have to buy another system for several years. So yes it was suecessful.

Not sure if two max three years counts as "a lot". Next gen consoles will be on a whole different level due to their much faster CPU.

But if $399 is price theyre aiming at in 2020, I wouldnt anticipate a massive CPU upgrade while aiming for 4K with bettter graphics.

The X1X is four years later, $500 but not a masive upgrade outside of GPU.

So Im genuinely curious what specs in 2020 look like. As I've suggested maybe a budget $399 and premium $599 console should exist at 9th gensl's launch. Both have a 60 fps pushing CPU while the GPU would differ significantly. Like 10TF versus 20TF or whatever. So the $399 specs still has 4K potential but not a priority. Personally that ideal for me given ai dont care that much for 4K.

I don't see that happening until the install base of the 1x grows. And as we have seen in sls trends over the years, the xbox will basically stot selling after the holidays.  The gaps you are talking about need to be made by xbox division themselfs in exclusives, that grows the install base and then third parties will take notice and be incentivised to put some serious effort. But as we have seen, MS fist party wont put the effort aside of forza halo and gears.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Well it depends. I suppose it succeeded in getting ppl talking about Xbox again for the time being but other than that, probably not much else. After the holidays are over, I’m sure it’ll be back to less than stellar sales through most of 2018 without many big name exclusives.

Halo and gears will probably get remasters to fill the gap of not having a new installment ready plus the usual Forza game along with crackdown 3 if it ever releases. Other than that, I see 2018 being largely the same as 2017.

Devs can't fully use the hardware of the X1X, because the base X1 will always hold it back. All they can really do is throw more pixels at it. Which is why it won't ever have the chance to truly get a visible advantage over the PS4 Pro. Sony has the advantage of the more powerful base.

Nope. Couldn't put MS over Sony in November, not true 4K as MS claimed, not 60fps uncompromised, some games perform worse, no exclusives to show power and sales are not as high as people said they would be. The Pro is above both skus for the year on Amazon.

There is just to little time to judge. It had a good opening, but sustained sales are still to be verified.
