Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo patents "passive walking device"

It's a wearable peripheral for the switch 2.0 which has situational awareness and gps build in. That way the Switch can walk for you so you don't have to lift your eyes of the screen while going somewhere.

They do have things like theme parks and such planned you know and this is likely for them, the are obviously going to be many non gaming patents.

Remember when Iwata said that Nintendo was developing something related to "quality of life"? Maybe this patent has something to do with it.

What quality can this bring to your life? From here on out QoL can only go downhill

You say tomato, I say tomato

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

A weapon to surpass metal gear!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I remember a very long time ago Nintendo patented a horse riding mechanism:

Thankfully for the world, it was never used or shown again.

My point is, this almost certainly does not mean anything.

That's more of a robotics patent.

Could possibly also be for animating 3D models efficiently

Changed the thread title to more accurately describe the content in the OP.

So, Project Giant Robot has not been cancelled after all...

People will be getting lost because they are so engaged with the new Pokemon game. This tracking device will help you locate your lost loved ones. Lol.
