How so? I think most who played it aknowledged the performance issues and negatives. The difference is Xbox fans actually played it heh. And how is anyone supposed to have a proper discussion about it here anyway?

Even the ones saying the only place they had any framedrop was in the lob?

What about those of us who said it? I’ve played a lot of it and that’s the only place I’ve had noticeable frame rate issues. You’ve experienced it in other spots? Oh wait...

I'm going by the reviews and experiences of several users who also posted here after playing... and guess what, they had at least some framerate issues.

Got it on PC yesterday.
All Ultra, 1440P, never once dropped below 35fps. 50-55fps was the average on my 6~ year old PC.

60fps fully locked with the old 3930K @ 4.8ghz.

This game is brutal on the CPU, it does seem to use around 8~ CPU threads, but pegs one core higher than the others... It's no wonder the consoles are struggling with this though as the 8-core Jaguar is only a fraction of the power.

I found the game itself though to be extremely ugly, even on Ultra settings, could only imagine how bad it looks on the Xbox One and Xbox One X which I might get at a later date once the shiznit is ironed out.

Its one of the ugliest games I've played on X1.

First of all, there is some really bad pop in issues. Muddy textures take time to load or simply don't load properly. When skydiving the map itself appears to be missing textures, jarring pop in, etc. While exploring the map I though I ran into some horribly designed burned building, but after awhile a normal building just popped in while I was in it.

Even when everything is loaded properly, the game is still kinda ugly. The textures look like last gen and shadows on surfaces are low quality and are essentially dots. It seems when you look closely at everything, it just looks bad. The game probably looks its best when you're exploring an open area with lots of foliage and it looks crisp because of 1080p.

If we're going by average though, the game generally feels like 30 fps.

I can't help but think they should have stole the idea of PUBG and use Gears or Halo. It would be a better game and no marketing deal required! But I guess that's what MS paid for, a big name title to boast about for awhile. It may have been worth the money as well because people are certainly buying it.

I didn't experience any pop in on my PC, but having the game installed on a pair of RAID SSD's and having multiples more Ram than the Xbox helps in that regard.

But that is truly terrible.

Allot of assets feel last gen, honest, I don't think allot of people would have cared if the rendering resolution was decreased in favor of an increase in asset quality.

Either way... It's still like trying to polish a turd. (1080P isn't something I would regard as crisp either. :P)

I agree on the foliage part, when you land and all the grass and stuff loads in... It doesn't look too bad, it helps that it does hide the low quality terrain textures though. :P

They still might yet.

I would not complain if there was a Halo Warzone with 100+ players. But I doubt the consoles have the appropriate CPU capability to pull that off this generation. Especially while trying to retain 60fps.

We havent reached a point where 1080p is blurry. Frankly, I still dont mind 720p, effects help make that look better. Anything south of that kinda bugs me though.

They could improve some effects in PUBG with a lower resolution, but I dont think it would fix muddy textures and pop in. Thats a CPU and RAM issue. Maybe the game engine eats so much RAM the X1 has little left for textures? Meanwhile the X1X has better textures.

I hiighly doubt the Gears 4 (60 fps PvP) and Halo 5 engine could handle 100 players at 60 fps, but I would gladly take 30 fps for experience in either. Fornite appers to do it at a stable 30 fps and higher.

So like I thought, zero actual experience on the game. I could have said I’ve had no frame rate problems and my impressions would still be more authentic than yours. Try to actually play something for yourself and have an idea of what you’re talking about before you make someone else’s experience out to be less than truthful just because it doesn’t mesh with the narrative you’re looking for.

Thank you for your insight.

Some people have not realized that the idea of a Beta is everyone to test the game and give their opinion, good or bad about all aspects of the game.

The feedback is necessary so the developer can iron out those issues.

The LA LA LA the game is perfect LA LA LA mentality does more harm than good.

So have you realized it yourself? I get a feeling you haven't tested it but you sure keep shouting your opinions and apparently you only accept certain opinions. I think I'm repeating myself here but most who played it aknowledged the issues Mr Puggsly listed. Doesn't change the fact that most actually love to play the game.

Developers probably aren't reading this thread anyway.

The LA LA LA I haven't played it but the game is bad LA LA LA mentality does nothing but hurt the discussion about the game.

Like your comments on GTS right? Or the comments of some on Driveclub... didn't see you having any issues there.

A game that most reviews are verifying issues and you claim they don't exist make your narrative the pandering one. Because there is a big difference between "the drops don't bother me, I didn't notice drops and there aren't drops"... you are more on the third one and that is not factual.
