Im not that familiar with the Fortnite situation, but if the game at its Preview stage costs 40$ and when the Final Build releases the game will be FREE, well...lets say i wont be moving a finger for stupid consumers and their idiotic decisions.

I assume that disclaimer exists on all preview titles? If so them it's just MS covering their butt, which is entirely understandable given the nature of early access.

Yeah but that's the thing. I've been watching people like Jackfrags playing the X1 version and seeing it run semi decently. Not at 60fps entirely, but not at 4fps  constantly either. There are definitely areas on the map that cripple the frames though. Some of these people have likely avoided said areas to drop them down to 4fps. Also, the starting hub area, where everybody can just go nuts on one another, performs like garbage on all platforms atm, which does cripple your fps a lot.

I have no issue with anyone saying their experience is mostly satisfactory or unsatisfactory, but anyone saying the game doesn't have severe drops or that it is always running low are blatantly lying...

And I'm not the type of guy that bother much with FPS.

Which should make us even more worried on buying a game the dev needs to cover their butt over but uncover yours.

The difference is: you get the official release for free once you pay. Its the same thing for those other games, its just that you pay later, at the actual release.

With MS refunds, in most cases, 2 hours of playing should be enough to determine whether you like it or not.

So are you now moving a finger for smart consumers and their intelligent decicions? 😋 

I follow gaming news yet still didn't know Fortnite Will Be free until I played it for over six hours. Microsoft then have me a refund based on misleading advertisement. Anyway, it's also a microtransactions & lootbox fest even in preview stage yet no-one cares. 

 

PUBG is clearly stated to be a game preview. The disclaimer text that frightened you is written on everyone EA game I know. There's always an option to wait for full release or take your chances with EA. PUBG so far it's worth it imo.

It seems odd to focus on those saying they are fine with the fps, when you just said you yourself are not bothered with fps.

Ark is pretty much a slideshow on all 3 platforms as it is. I'm more bothered by the fact that some of these devs throw optimisation crunch time right out the window, in favour of adding more and more content.
