Forums - Microsoft Discussion - PUGB on XB1 drops to 4fps, issues also on XB1X- Digital Foundry

So much salt on this thread lol. Yet people on Xbox Finland clubs and communities are having a blast playing it.

I just finished a match #2 place. I saw the guy through a window, flanked him, shot him with a shoutgun and...fucking missed it 😂

This game is unlike any other shooter. So exciting If you live enough to fight the last stages. Well Worthington the 30€ and it'll only get better.

Wasn't this the game some users promissed there were almost no fps drop?

Can't say I've seen any of that. I've been watching the game on PC, and haven't seen the devs promising no FPS drops either.

Not the dev... some VGC users on the thread about the exclusivity were saying the game hardly had fps drops

There will be varying areas that produce significant frame drops and other areas that don't. Even with my rig, there are definitely areas that perform fine, and areas that just run like crap.

There are all sorts of games out there on all platforms that contain a number of frame drops though.

4 fps? Oh man, this was a great deal for Microsoft.

I already can see the ads.

“Exclusive Photo mode, exclusively on the Xbox One (exclusive)”

I think you hit the right amount of exclusives. 3 new one for X1

4fps? Well... the PS4 version is at 0fps. So it's still the superior one

That much is true. Well done.

Kudos for Microsoft Customer Service.

See guys? Being Early Access/Beta Game is no excuse for shitty performance, specially because you are PAYING for the game.

Nobody would give AF if the game was Free.

Look at how MS returns your money with no BS excuse.

Imagine if you were like:

A) "So Microsoft, i want my money back. The game's performance is just too rough around the edges, im not pleased with the product"

B) "Thank you for calling, but the game is a Beta so we cannot return your money. Thanks for calling."

Underwhelming performance on a Beta Game IS a valid reason to complain.

But that's what you're paying for with early access games. You're paying for an unfinished copy of a game that will have issues. The feedback the community gives will help the game develop and fixes will be made. If you don't want to pay for an unfinished game wait for it to leave early access.

Do the devs need community help to know the game runs at 4 fps and have a very outdated graphical setting? community feedback is to improve over the good not to discover the obvious. You shouldn't release a mess and ask for feedback.

Sure, FPS issues are present in most games and even the best rigs.

But to say a game that hit 4fps runs fine is crazy... and in this thread there are a lot saying the game run fine to them.

X1 and PS4 Pro were designed to take 8th gen to 4K or atleast above 1080p, not 60 fps.

Consoles are not balanced like PCs and graphics at 30 fps is generally the priority.

They are, but the fact that XB1X is running a game that visually looks that bad runs less than 30 let alone 30 is shameful to the developers.

I get it's in early access or preview but how can they even charge money for that.

I have mixed feelings.

I dont really care if MS or developers want to put a game like this in early access. Its half the price of a full game, its playable and it seems to be a stable outside of a some rough spots.

But maybe games in this state dont need the physical copy. That really gives the impression its complete. Meanwhile a complete and wonderful product like Cuphead has no physical copy. Go figure.

Perhaps MS will release a game of year edition physical edition for Cup Head... but sure thing is strange to release a game like this on preview version physically.

Ark survival runs bad on consoles. Way worse than pubg and yet it is easily one of the most popular games on consoles. Same shit could apply to besetheda games especially last generation and those games were highly popular and highly rated. People can overlook technical issues as long as they're having fun.

There isn't a physical version of this game.  It was a cardboard box with a code and PUBG decals inside.
