I'm not falling for it twice.

Well, I don't use RT. Those "fresh ratings" are misleading.

TFA got a 81 on Metacritic, which is pretty close to the mark.

Closer to what mark? I definitely wouldn't give that TFA an 80 either, it doesn't deserve that much - the movie was a huge truckload of hype with absolutely no substance whatsoever. It's stuff like this that baffles my mind really, when I go there and see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at a 65 or something, it just shows there's something wrong going on.

Carrie Fischer, oh I wish you were around to see it.

Some days I just blow up.

Last one sucked, this will likely too imo.

VII got 93% on RT and was the disappointment of a lifetime, theses scores mean nothing, although I heard VIII actually has the balls to be original and do its own thing, instead of being a rehash of episode V.

Phantom Menace will always be the day Star Wars lost its "magic" for me.  I could never be disappointed like that ever again.

I think the director of Last Jedi gives me hope it will be at least good, but I never expect Empire levels ever again for the series.

Screw Star Wars. It's amazing just how much I do not care for this franchise. And I don't feel bad not feeling nostalgia towards it.

I just can't wait for the 4 Avatar sequels that will debut in 2020. THEN I will get excited!

Oh wow, congratulations on having an opinion. It's genuinely impressive just how little you care, I've never seen someone care about something so little that they even come to a thread about it to talk about how much they don't care.

Edit: also word of advice, don't be too excited about Avatar sequels. They have loads of sucking potential.

It's tied with Empire Strikes Back on Rotten Tomatoes and the 2nd highest rated Star Wars movie after a New Hope on Metacritic. I'm happy.

BotW and Mario are better than Star Wars confirmed.

You like Avatar and hate Star Wars? You are officially dead to me, lol.

You see, this is exactly my point. This is why you don't trust movie critics. A New Hope being the highest rated is just... no. I mean, it is a fine movie, certainly one of the best Star Wars films out there, but to say it's better than Empire is simply insane.
