Pokemon will offer huge boost not nice, Animal Crossing will also offer huge boost, Smash Bros will offer nice boost, but they are potential other games also, and price cut and revision is also possible. Most of this year Switch had stock problems and still have them in Japan, Switch will most likly sell more next year than it sold this one. Also, not all Switch owners are Nintendo fans or ex 3DS/WiiU buyers.

in japan sure, i dont think  it will sell better in the US or europe. switch hot a huge boost this year from its launch, and released 2 of the most hyped nintendo games ever, along with mario kart 8, and splatoon. just look at super nes classic its till sold out, but it wont keep selling for long.

I was talking about WW numbers, Switch popularty will only raise with evre new game, NES Mini and SNES Classic dont have anuthing with Switch beacuse Switch will continue getting great and strong games, and most likly it want have any more stock problems like had in most of this year.

Not the best news and OK so far.  Sure.  I suppose selling 30 million would be better and keeping pace with PS4 and Wii is just OK.

It's really not that impressive once we consider that the Switch has an early tracking advantage launch aligned compared to those systems with a big launch only to have it eroded away by one of their more underwhelming systems ...

One could argue it to be a little bit of a disappointment since current holiday performance doesn't compare to previous Nintendo systems which relied a lot on the holidays to drive sales ...

Just clarifying, this is sold through:

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Despite launching in March, a month not usually reserved for home console launches, and with the busy holiday shopping season still in full swing, the Nintendo Switch system has already sold 10 million units to consumers around the world, according to Nintendo’s internal sales figures.

Kicking Xbox One's ass apparently.  At least Sony has already publicly announced that the Switch shouldn't be taken lightly.

I think I know what"Switch is killing it" means... it's killing the Wii U!

You can't kill what's already dead.

Zombies disagree

Wii U is a zombie?

No, I just meant in general terms. You can kill zombies by the dozen in any game they appear, so it's not that you can't kill what's already dead.

It's probably safe to assume CrazyGamer isn't interested in handheld gaming, so is judging the Switch's power in a misguided way.

If he was saying it kills the chance for a dedicated home console I'd understand where he's coming from.

I'm in a similar boat and personally holding out hope for a docked-only version that gives me more bang for my buck. But it probably won't happen.

Yes at the end of the day that is what I'm driving at, the chances for dedicated home console which then would NOT have the excuse of being a portable and thus would not have to have power as limited as a portable is bound to have.

I think I would have preferred the Switch to be a portable that simply replaces the 3DS cause as such it's a really nice new gen portable and I would have loved to see a new home console dedicated to doing home games.

And when that was not the case I was like okay, but hopefully Nintendo will bring a new home system later on. But then it did not appear they had any plans to do that so I was like: Ok then let's wait for the next generation, maybe they will by then. I'm sure there has to be a lot of people who want a dedicated home system too. But then the sales of the Switch became very good so now I'm like: Ok, I guess we'll never see a dedicated home system again.

That's what I'm saying guys. I'm not a hater or anything like that. Good for you all guys that the Switch sells well. I guess portable gaming is becoming more important than home gaming and that makes me sad, but yeah, what can I do right?

All you are complaining about is graphics. It is still able to play as  a traditional home console

Home Console =/= graphics

Your disappointment is relegated to you. For a console proclaimed dead on arrival by many of your console brethren, 10 million in 9 months which equals the pace set by the highest selling/fastest selling consoles of all time is only disappointing to those who hoped it would fail.

Deflect all you want but it won't make the Switch perform any better ...

Nintendo should be concerned that Switch's performance is slowing down during the holidays in comparison to their previous systems. The Switch losing it's early advantage against the 3DS means that a fundamental issue is starting to surface with the platform ...

Hardly anyone thought that the Switch was going to fail when the system came closer to launch so your projection means nothing. At that point it was just a question of whether it was going to have underwhelming performance like the 3DS was or it was going to be a smash hit like the DS ...

Genuinely no idea how you can say it’s disappointing. No way in hell was anybody, and I’m assuming you come into that category would have predicted 10m sales after nine months.

Can you go even a single day without spewing nonsense?

3DS started off faster than DS did. Not only is it laughable to think that doing slightly better than 3DS is a sign of "a fundamental issue," but this is doubly absurd because you've been proven wrong over and over again since the beginning of the year. Your narrative went from "Switch is going to be significantly behind 3DS in its first year, so it will struggle to even come close to its lifetime sales" based on Nintendo's financial estimates, but as soon as the September quarterly report came out, you suddenly spun that into a narrative of "Switch is struggling to stay ahead of 3DS, so its lifetime sales will be similar." Already you've adjusted your lifetime prediction upward by 20 million and your FY prediction upward by 4 million, yet you still have the nerve to act like Switch is disappointing you.

You have nothing constructive to say, your presence is nothing but a burden on any discussion, and you stubbornly parrot the same worn-out excuses for why Switch's performance is inadequate, despite matching the best selling consoles of all time and surpassing your own expectations for sales during its first year.
