I was at a Burger King drive thru a few years ago with my fiancé and we had a gift card. I handed it to him for the meal but his machine wouldn’t accept it so he gave me the card back and said “it’s ok, I’ll pay for it”. He took his own money out and payed for our meal. We were shocked beyond words. Even though we could have payed for it ourselves, it was weird but very nice of him.

Well, at a Blockbuster before they just gave me a copy of Hulk for the PS2 for free, we didn't even have to pay to rent it.

I had a few older women buy me a drink a few times while I was at a bar.

A guy (mistakenly) paid for my tank of gasoline not so long ago, and when he found out he said it was okay and left :). Free gas :)

This reads a little awkward. Are you saying the cashier paid for your meal for you and your fiance? 

That’s exactly what I’m saying. He used his own debit card and payed for our meal. 

Edit: I’m guessing the gift card was damaged or his machine was faulty. Don’t really know. But regardless he payed for it. Lol
