Congrats to everyone.Sony and MS did great due to the great deals that were offered, and Switch seems to still be limited to how much stock Nintendo is able to offer, would be my best guess.

Overall, incredible numbers for everyone.

Nope. Switch was easily available the whole onth (as was the discounted XB1s). On the other hand the discounted 1TB PS4 was sold out during 6 days of the 10 days BF period. And discounted XB1s is still there available.

Demand is just stabilizing for switch. PS4 has more stock issues than Switch at this point.

Except the 299 ps4 bundles with starwars and call of duty are completely in stock.... people just would rather get the 199 console apparently

call of duty bundle been sold out at my bestbuy forever

I'm assuming the vast majority of these numbers are from Black Friday. And if that's the case, I think these numbers are probably accurate.
- No $199 Ps4's were available at any store I visited.
- Some of the $189 Xbox one S were still available throughout the night at all the stores I visited. (which I happened to purchase.)
- Nearly untouched pallets of Switches were available at every location.

I think Nintendo messed up by not cutting the price to be more competitive with the other consoles. When Sony and Microsoft are selling their consoles $100 less than Nintendo, they're going to have a much easier time moving units.

The guy who thinks his opinion must be valued above all else.

err system sellers are atleast games that can do 1 million ltd in the US, naming any game is silly, we talking about sales not what sells a game to a niche group.

Most games aren't big system sellers but having a lot of quality games does help sales. The 3ds did just fine while getting maybe 1 or 2 Mario or Pokemon level games a year and keeping up momentum with smaller IP like bravely, SMT, various 2d platformers ect.

The Switch numbers are the main reason why I doubt this report.. I expected them to be more competitive.

you can doubt all you want, it's 99% legit, other wise someone would have corrected by now. plus sales numbers for games are coming out.

How can you say it’s 99% legit. If it’s so legit why don’t we use this report every month a week in advance of the actual numbers coming out?

Omg they lost even in the US. Nintendo is embarrassing itself.

Comments like this are embarrassing. It’s pretty clear price and game library matter more before XMas. Especially since X1 numbers include all the pre-orders.

It also had serious supply constrains on Amazon. Granted PS4 has the same problem everywhere...could’ve probably sold 2 Million easily without basically selling out 2 days before Black Friday already.

That 199,- price (or even less at GameStop) was surely too good to pass up.

I still don’t think Switch sold too bad considering it’s a handheld with not many games and NO price drop. People really need to get a hold of themselves.

So xbox discounted a week earlier, had all the pre-orders for the Scorpio + the actual sale of the Xbox one - and they still came in second?

I asked this in a previous thread but no one seemed to have an answer.
When is the last time xbox didn't win at least one NPD in an entire year? I assume the wii days maybe?

was a weak year for first party exclusives. maybe sea of thieves will help in march

Cannot outsell the PS4 if the stock isnt there.  Switch sold every console they had on the shelf, its a win.

not just to me, but those franchises don't sell great in the US by any means. might was well start naming any game.

Individually they don't but don't underestimate the power of a great library.

And that’s why pa4, does so well. Has something for everyone.

So are you saying that I cannot buy a system unless a title sells 1 million? So if everyone waits around for a title to sell at least a million copies before they buy that system for that game, what crowd is buying that game for that game to achieve that "system seller 1 million" status?  Are you insane or just asinine to put it lightly?
