Forums - PC Discussion - NVIDIA TITAN V Announced..... $3000

NVIDIA has just announced their latest Titan graphics card based on the Volta GPU architecture, the Titan V. The NVIDIA Titan V features the latest GPU technologies such as the 12nm Volta GPU architecture coupled with lots of HBM2 memory.

Featured in the Titan family, the GPU will be aiming the Pro-sumer Market and as such, you can expect a really hefty price as this bad boy will cost $3000 US.

Specs are unknown. Will post when they're available!

WTF... I am honestly really curious about the specs. The TitanXp is an absolute monster already in both gaming and productivity, if the Titan V reaches Quadro performance in workstation tasks, and they up the gaming performance even more it would actually be worth that $ 3k.

Holy cow! Is this high or a decent price?

I bought my laptop for 90 dollars on clearance. 3,000 sounds miles above me.

Depends on why they're asking for that. I'm fine paying $2,500 for two Titan Xp's (as I did), but I need to know why I should spend an additional $500 for just one of these things.

Will buy pending specs

[edit] Seems only 12gb? I'll Pass

in that linked article it's listed with 5120 Shadercores at 1.2GHz/1.455GHz Boost for 15 TFLOPS theoretical FP32 performance

doesn't look like it's going to blow away the Titan Xp

HBM2 vs Xp's G5X. So it will be far faster. That said, I understand your frustration with the amount. They need to move on up - but then..... RAM prices are ridiculous right now. This is the full fat GV100 chip, too (as Maxwell was with GM200). So no Titan Black/Xp situation for Volta. It's going to be a substantial leap over Pascal.

Yeah nah, Nvidia can go "GTFO"

That's a ridiculous price. I don't know if it's worth it compared to what else you can get for the money, but that's really, really expensive.

I mean, I was gonna' spend this money on a mortgage... but fuck it, graphics card instead. Nah, but seriously, why are these things so expensive?! I'm still using a GTX960 which I bought almost two years ago for £150 and it runs everything I play silky smooth at 60fps on high/ultra settings, some games I have to mess with a few things, like turn the AA down etc. but it's good enough for me, lol.
