If you had played the game yourself you’d know that he is telling the truth.
GTS in first week sold more than Forza lifetime. After price drop, updates and announcements, bundles and Black Friday the game is probably at 3 million already and will be a keeper.
Stop bringing the Horizon series into the equation, it doesn’t count, no matter how hard you try.

I have it and he's Straight up lying. When he says it's like any GT just more i don't expect then to see.
Far inferior track and vehicle count. Mostly fake fantasy tracks. No offline campaign/championships. No vehicle engine or body modifications. No dynamic weather. No track editor.
When he says it's GT but more i expect a full GT content and features game but with competent working online.
Who cares, this is GT it's supposed to do better than the low numbers they got. Gt was like COD, its sales weren't at all comparable to any genre competitor. Gtsport low sales are low for GT, i don't care if it's higher the Forzs or NFS. Forza has actual logical reasons for lower sales, GTsport does not. other than the quality of the game. What does that mean, Forza life time. Given factually GTs first week has not out sold a single Forza's lift time sales. So i'm not sure what are you attempting to claim.
What doesn't count, that near most other sony devs are doing record numbers while PD is struggling to match their lowest ever. Yahh id want to avoid such facts also if i were defending a sub par product. Glad you agree it's not a keeper now, maybe potentially with enough updates sure but i have serious reservation given PD slow development ways.

He was always talking about what the game will be aiming at to become. Like GT5, that didn't have weather until it got the weather update, and tracks and cars and... it's always been like that with GT games. This time they had to start anew and made a clean cut, no old PS2 modelled BS...and PD / Kazunori Yamauchi have always been upfront about it. Of course that takes time and a lot of work, considering the stunning amount of detail they put into the game. If you'd own it you wouldn't even question it.
Also you make it look as if GTS was having problems to sell as much as GT6 was, when that's clearly not the case. GTS sold more first week with a smaller install base EVEN THOUGH it was marketed as online focused game.
Of course it sold less than a full fat GT7 would have sold but they clearly decided NOT to use all that old material and start a new series/platform instead.
And WTF why are you putting words in my mouth?! It sure IS a keeper because it will constantly be updated, mostly for free as always.
