So where is the US, UK, Canada on the list?

Nice Russian tactic of whataboutism.

Very suprised by this decision. Positively.
Don't get me wrong, this was way overdue, but good to see that something is happening.

What the hell is this? LOL
Russia simply got caught, other didn't. That's it. Even if there is suspicion that others did it, it DOES NOT right what Russia has done wrong. Ergo, banned from the olympics. Is this so hard to understand?

He was just implying that others should probably be banned as well. We all know other countries are doing it as well, especially the highest competitive ones. They’re just not stupid enough to let them officially being caught. (Even though the article states otherwise)

It is the definition of whataboutism. It is exactly what Russian trolls do every single time. This is just going to be put away as another western conspiracy when they got caught with their pants down and refuse to take any responsibility. The only Russian that took responsibility fled with his life. Why is that? Because Russia tends to assassinate people like him. Another strong contrast with other countries.
Considering there are a lot of techniques to avoid detection or doping methods that aren't banned, and also several cases of everyone knowing the athlete is doped but never getting caught with the intention of pushing human to the limit and bulldozer records I'm more to the side of make all form of doping in sport legal and let the one that not only trains the most, but make the most effective use of dope win. So instead of rewarding the ones that cheat the system, make it a no cheat at all.

Basically they can't. I'm 100% sure that no one will go there. Because Russian government will definitely boycott the 2018 olympics after this. |
How exactly do you boycott something you have been forbidden to do?

It's good that they're taking a harder stance on doping and I hope that scares other countries enough to not try their luck.
