And you can base your judgement on UK sales, the weakest Switch territory in the west ?

The weakest? Switch is doing better in Luxembourg, Malta etc than it is in the UK now?

Weakest in relation to market size. UK has over 100x the population of either of those countires.

I've no figures to back it up, but I'd assume Switch has sold more in the UK than it has in either Spain or Italy and they both have similar populations to the UK.

True but even then i assume the console market is much larger in the UK than Spain/Italy so in terms of market share Nintendo may be higher in those countries despite lower overall sales.

Either way, in terms of the big mainstream gaming markets, UK is the weakest or one of the weakest for Nintendo.

Edit: I just looked at the % that UK represents of European totals for each console.

UK is about 15-20% of EU totals for PS4/3DS/WiiU/SW while its about 40% for XBO. So its more like UK is a really good market for Xbox rather than it being bad for Nintendo.

That's what I've been saying for a long time! Nintendo's market share may look worse in the UK (because of strong Xbox sales), but their actual hardware sales are still pretty good. Perhaps not as high as France or Germany, but not really "weak" either.

Maybe ill ask a certain frog if he wants to make any more myth busting threads.

The X seems to be doing very well in the US still, though it has dropped off a bit faster than I expected in the UK. It's interesting to see the two territories diverging moreso than they normally do, with the US seeming to display more demand for the X and definitely showing more demand for the Switch.

No, man, it's not good. I always suspected that the XB1X would be sold mainly to existing XB1 owners, largely because the XB1 has no exclusives (sorry, but it's true). My 1 to 3 month speculation was based entirely on that fact. In my eyes it was a tester to see how many 'loyal' XB1 fans there were and from the results it's less than great. Switch and Playstation are a success because of loyalty and exclusives. MS are not competing in either categories.

Xbox has no exclusives? (Looks at Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Motorsports 6 and 7, etc) Your post is now invalid.
