This analysis of the future by MGS2 is eerie. Maybe 2001 Japan was 20 years ahead of its time but kojima really got a powerful ever lasting message across with this title.

damn, that ended up being way better than i thought it was gonna be...

Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda!!!!

People don't give Sons of Liberty its due just because they were upset about the main character. Way ahead of its time and still one of the most thematically sophisticated games out there.

This is why I said MGS2 should be required material in social studies at some point during high school. This one of the best social commentary pieces ever creatd in any form, sadly it is not looked at in the proper context because it is an interactive experience.

Off topic, but I just read an article about people having issue with abuse in Deroit, and saying abuse should not be a game, for fun, or for entertainment purposes. Kojima was creating mature experience 20+ years ago, and still today people mis-understand this medium.

Hopefully one day people will realize that interactive experience are the most powerful form of story telling, and the best teaching tool we could possibly ask for.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

One of my favorite games ever! What that sequence covers however can be applied, in principle, to every timeline in recorded history, nothing new really.

Sounds like some drivel of someone trying to justify whatever they want to do in society that would likely be something extreme that most people wouldn't want. Sure the net has some cons to it but there's alot of people who learn from the endless amounts of information and grow from it. Not everyone likes to hide in walled gardens and pretend the world is not what it is.

Too bad the game has so awkward controls and mechanics. Deus Ex predicted the future too and is mechanically sound game.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

It's one of the greatest games of all time. It was my first mg so I didn't unfairly I'd be it for having raiden.

I even played the plant mission before playing the tanker mission so had no prior experience of snake. The part where he was pretending to be pliskin was completely believable to me whereas if imagine most people knew he was really snake.

"Everyone withdraws into their own small gated community, afraid of the larger forum. They stay inside their little ponds, leaking whatever “truth” suits them into the growing cesspool of society at large."

This is what I see over and over online and recent years into real life. People don't talk to one another, algorithms create spirals of echo chambers to reinforce worldviews. All one has to see is how dramatically people answer polling differently based on what group they belong to.

Weak MGS game but great clip.
