If Amazon and Gamestop are any thing to go by, Switch will be #1 this month, followed not too far behind by PS4, with the XBO coming in a distant 3rd.  They both have the 2 Switch SKUs in the lead, with 2-3 PS4 SKUs not too far behind. 

Of course, we'll have to see the affect B&M stores have, since last month they gave PS4 a huge victory.

So, SMO sold 2.15 million in October, released on October 27th. It has been between #1 and #3 on the Amazon charts for all of December. Does anyone have a prediction on the 2017 sales for this beast?

I really think the xbox is going to take the month. I know that Amazon says differently, but b & m sales are more important in December and the Xbox is crazily cheap in comparison to the other two.

It not taking a month in which the PS4 hovers around $70 more and in which it will sell Madden bundles at $199 would not be a good look. Sony is apparently content with it's sales this year and Nintendo feels no need to drop, MS is the only one pushing aggressive sales. It might hurt them next year, but it will win them December, I think.

 

If the PS4 had gone to $199 next week, that would have been my bet. I just think a $199 Xbox will be too cheap for an $249 PS4 to overtake.

I believe he has access to half the Best Buy sales in the country. If true it correlates as much if not more than these charts. He said Xbox and PlayStation would be very close and that apears true. At one point he said any could win but thought Nintendo would be last. He mentioned a few times PS4 was doing best. At one point he even said there was a decent chance switch wouldn't break 1 million.

 

   So everything he said was right besides when he said any of the 3 could win, but even that statement usually came with a ' but Nintendo probably 3rd).



Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Price is a poor indicator of expected sales performance.

I would agree any other month. If this were January, I would take the Amazon rankings to the bank or gamble them at Vegas. December is extremely price sensitive shopping, with b & m consumers picking the cheaper option. Now, Switch will have an easier time than the PS4, as kids will ask for that specifically, but we've seen before how the Xbox will outperform PS4 in December if cheaper. MS puts all their chips into the holiday, while Sony prefers to push sales all year.

I couldn't find a yearly top 100 on amazon Japan.
