I'm looking to switch TV services from DirecTV to a live TV streaming service.  I first reached out to these boards for advice in regards to PS Vue a year ago, and found that Vue was quite satisfying.  But about a month of having Vue, I caved into my wife's preferences to sticking with DirecTV and later regretted it after agreeing to a one year contract with DirecTV. But now that it's been a year, I'm very adamant that DirecTV will be out of our lives, and PS Vue is now a viable option again.

So, it's almost the end of 2017, and the PS Vue service has been out since March of 2015.  Is Vue worth it?

This is probably the worst place to ask that question since it's heavily bias towards Sony and people will make claims that it is the best. My suggestion is to try all the free week/month offers out there. So far I've done Vue, SlingTV, Directv Now, and currently using Google TV. I've liked Directv Now the most so far but SlingTV is definitely a very close 2nd.

I use to have the Vue for about a year and a half. When it lost its Viacom channels (Nickelodeon, etc), the value went down. Sure it replaced it with 2 channels. One of them being BBC America. Some people don't care for that channel though. It's a good service for what it is. I never had any problems with it. I personally think it's worth it, depending on what you're looking for.

Ummmm... no.  Back when the Wii was on top and the PS3 was struggling to keep up with the Xbox 360, things were not as "bias" due to a more diverse fanbase.  But because of the PS4's success, you are going to get a larger current PlayStation fanbase, but that doesn't mean the bias will be in favor of a Sony TV service.

OT: No DirecTV new because no DVR support to say the least.

To be honest most people i mention PSNow or PSvue too have no idea what they are. That being said I don't watch live television :C so I would say no.

If it has the channels you desire, then you can't beat it. I have all the locals in my area now, and even with the most expensive package possible I am still $50 less than I was paying for Comcast ($190 PS Vue + Internet vs $240 Comcast bundle). I have the Ultra plan + Cinemax + Fox Soccer Plus + Sports Package.

Definitly give it a try. The PS4 Vue expereince is silky smooth, and very easy to use. Absolutely love the unlimited 28 day DVR that spans all devices. Would love to hear your review if you give it a go.
