Sorry to step in the middle of this, but... previously only PS4 was doing well. Wii U and Vita were flops and Xbox One was being meh~mediocre, while 3DS was doing good for an old system, but overrall not that hot. 

So... having only one system doing well from 2014 to 2016 is definitely not healthy. That's what I think he means. At least now there is another system doing well (Switch) and Xbox is probably getting a bit better thanks to X too.

From 2014 to 2016 only the WiiU did poorly even though that was just the trend of the market for a Nintendo console. The Xbox is back to regular sales level for an Xbox just as the PS4 is back to a PS’s regular sales level.

I was about to make a comment about how odd it is that the 3DS in Europe is killing it but Switch needs to do better, but apparently aligned Switch is about 300-350k about the 3DS in Europe. Maybe Nintendo handhelds just do really well near the end of their life in Europe? Meh, anyways great WW sales.

So Nintendo Switch had 657,659 PS4 493,482 and X box 1 had 197,850 sales in 1 week. (Global sales are independent of other regions). Wow that's alot of console sales for one week. Holiday sales will even be crazier.

Yep, this is the 5th update in two weeks. It could probably go even quicker, but Machina is also making an ungodly number of adjustments to 8th gen software.
