The long cutscenes are actually what I loved most about Xenosaga. It was like a TV series, except I could move around, talk to and kill various people in it. It was great! There was a lot of stuff in the Xenoblade games I liked a lot more than Xenosaga. So I hope Xenoblade 2 brings that all together.

I don’t know the score, and frankly I don’t care. Monolithsoft games have a history of being underrated. Even by me, and I love them. Something about Xeno-games always attracts the most nit picky responses from reviews, it’s often judged to much harsher standards than other games. Only the original Xenoblade Chronicles somewhat avoided it. Xenogears got criticized for some of the same details Famitsu praised in DQ7.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I take back everything bad I said about Xenoblade Chronicles (3ds/Wii). Now that I'm level 70+ and have experienced this games combat enough to appreciate it and the multiple movies worth of cutscenes, it is absolutely amazing. I haven't beaten it yet to review it, but I'm dumbfounded how they managed to take this massive of a game and put it on the New 3ds...

85  70

would give it a 90+ if the graphics looked better and the protagonists wasn't a set of preteens engaged in warfare.

It will start off high then drop low when backlash falls upon it. I am guessing it will end up in the mid 80s to uppers 70s range, mainly because a lot of people seem to hate the anime vibe despite EVERY game Monolith Soft has done besides the Japan only Wii release Disaster: Day of Crisis having a strong if not outright blatant Anime/manga vibe.

If "anime vibes" doesn't bother reviewers with Persona games, then why would "anime vibes" ruin it for Xenoblade?

Because Persona certainly dont have teenager protagonists and are engaged in battle, and got a 85.Certainly fitting your avatar with this commentary.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yeah, I'd be shocked if more than a few reviewers at most dock anything because of the "anime vibe." Would be like if critics had trashed The Wind Waker because of the art style. As long as it does it well, and the game is looking very pleasing from the latest footage.

well on one game you have weaponized preteens killing living creatures. the other, teens vanishing supernatural beings that exist in a phantom world.

edit: Dropping my prediction score to 70 just to spite you. :)

But those supernatural beings have feelings too.Dont you feel bad when you try to negotiate with them, and just end up deciding to kill them?!?

You monster!

And how DARE you predict such a score? The game will be the next comming of Jesus!
