Why did the ps4 sell out before Black Friday?

I dont think the PS4 has peaked yet.

Next year is going to move more units for sure, God of War, Spiderman, etc will push the PS4 to a new high in terms of sales.

The PS4 will sell more than 100m consoles E-Z. 

I predict that it will outsell the Wii,PS1 and GB to get to the Top 3 of the Best Selling platforms.

Outselling the DS and PS2 tho...well, that is going to be HARD.

It sold out at many Norwegian retailers as well, and the price wasnt even that good; 280 USD for 500gb slim including Crash Bandicoot.

Dumb move to move to $199 in middle of the holiday. No way it meets demand in the holiday at that price. They should have dropped the price on the pro for the holidays, then drop vanilla ps4 to $199 in 2018.

And if you actually looked at the list,you'd notice almost all lines with times > 3am are sold out, while there is stock for times < 3am. Pretty much tells you that PS4 likely IS sold out late in the morning anywhere.

I found through Google when I was looking for a Switch back in March.

We received a huge amount of stock but demand was unprecedented.

I'm expecting PS4's best November by a considerable distance, with significant Pro sales and PSVR topping 500k.
