Why would you expect a sequel when they said it was an alternate story..? That's the little phrase they use to mean "3rd version". The only sequels are G/S and B2/W2. Both times they made it apparent that it was a sequel. Now, for the Switch Pokemon game, I do think there's a high chance that will get a sequel. In terms of changes from 3rd versions though, there's the difference between a lot and barely any in that spectrum: Barely any would be Yellow Version, and a lot would be Emerald Version/Platinum. In that spectrum it falls in the middle. Not as many as E/Pt, but way more than Yellow or Crystal. |
Have you even played the game? Ultra Sun/Moon bring more changes than emerald, and that's not even debatable. 4-5 brand new Pokemon, new forms, battle agency, totem-sized Pokemon, rainbow rocket, a few new areas in Alola, Mantine surf, photo club, fleshed out ultra space, vastly bigger regional dex, more expanded "victory road" area, more mons in the overworld...etc
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
