It's ridiculous how overpaid these actors and film producers are. And it's ridiculous how often these super hero movies are churned out.

I'm glad it's underperforming.

Batman V Superman was when they fucked it up, that movie should've never happen so soon.

Technically, it didn't even happen that soon. I mean in film order, yes, but it was 3 years in between films.  The real problem is DC/WB are just so disorganized and don't know what they want or where they are going, so they didn't have any movies planned in between MoS and BvS, while Marvel had 4 movies in the 3 years following the first Iron Man film, with The Avengers being revealed for the following year.

I think it’s time for Warner to give up chasing the marvel shared universe bandwagon and just stick to their successful tv series and animated movies and the occasional live action Batman movie.

This whole dceu thing just doesn’t seem to be working. Even Ben affleck apparently wants out or the producers do.

So they should stop making superhero movies other than Batman movies? I guess they should stop production on WW.

I actually quite enjoyed the film, although I think it would've done much better if they released it AFTER everyone got a standalone film, they're trying to catch up too quick and it's just not working for them whatsoever... and it's a shame Ben Affleck doesn't want to play Batman anymore since I've actually enjoyed his version the most so far, lol.

I agree with the standalone movies but not because Marvel did it but because each of these characters are great. Like Cyborg’s bits - on paper he’s a weak character but his bits were well done and there is a character arc and story to tell there. Same thing with Aquaman and The Flash. If this DCEU was made to be true to the comics, it would have been beyond amazing.

Justice League not of America?

Good to see for once. I can't stand these movies.

How many of these super heroe blockbuster movies are going to flood the theaters before people have enough of them? It feels like 80% of the big budget movies are stupid super heroes movies who are almost all equally poor and are among the lowest levels movies can reach.

A real, good movie is the Godfather, not Hulk vs Spiderman.

Superhero movies/Comic movies are just a genre. LIke Horror, thriller, suspense, comedy, love, drama, ect it is not going away. Especially when Marvel is making like a billion per movie.

Trouble is, every other superhero movie that is made that isn't Marvel is getting panned by critics and does poorly at box office. Thus there is going to be no originality in the genre. Whether you like MoS and BvS, they are different from Marvel movies big time. Yet they get panned, so it tries to copy Marvel (see Justice League) and in that regard I'm sick of Comic movies like you. They are starting to be the same damn movie over and over. It's like watching 99% of horror movies. They are all just jump scares with some nudity and gore. Comic book movies appear to be just comedies now.

I would think us gamers would appreciate the movies like BvS more and what it tried to do. What Marvel is doing to the movies is making htem all seem like "kids movies" Just how the media all like to that playing video games is for kids and grown ups shouldn't be playing them, they think the same with comic book movies and Marvel is not helping that because they are just comedies set in the super hero world.

Well other than Batman, they haven’t had a whole lot of success. Green lantern, cat woman, for instance were horrible. The flash tv series is great and they should have got the actor to be in the movie imo since he has an audience already on tv.

Wonder Woman did good I suppose, but Marvel has been at this for years and they have lots of experience at it. Dc is just starting and so far it’s been very mixed results.

Overall though, I think ppl are just getting turned off on super heroes every year. It’s that and disaster/alien movies for the summer. It’s diminished returns and even the new Spider-Man didn’t perform as well as ppl hoped. So it’s not just DC movies.

If it's nearly as bad as BvS or worse then I'm glad

This isn't a disappoint, it should be heralded as a huge success. They managed to recover 100 million even though what they produced was a steaming turd, it certainly didn't deserve to make that much.

So you are saying this is one of the worst movies you have ever seen?

Not one of the worst, but certainly way way below average, and for a movie they spent so much on the quality is abysmal.
