I used to buy Nintendo consoles but their lineups just get and more samey to me and I'm less and less interested in the Mario, Zelda, etc. rehashes. I played Zelda on Switch and it just seemed like a more annoying open world. Mario I haven't been impressed with since N64 honestly. Just don't get where all the praise comes from. AC Origins seems like a way better open world than Zelda so far.

So what Nintendo IPs do you want or wouldn't consider rehash?  They only have a few "major" IPs that they have neglected such as F Zero and Advance Wars.  You waiting for the next Excite Truck?

You have a Kirby and Yoshi game probably in the first half of the year, that is the only thing we know for sure will land from Nintendo themselves. I feel next year will be the true start of Nintendo pulling back from the current break neck scheduling which will be a good thing for Nintendo and its third parties as 2-3 months between major Nintendo releases will allow for other titles to breathe.

Mostly new games - no WiiU port. that time has gone!

Switch!!!

Oh Seth, why do you always have to make things complicated. Now I need this and I have just remembered AC Festival!

Yes to Wii U port.....

On a serious note do you think a new Battalion Wars game could ever sell over .5 million?  I suppose Advance Wars would have a better bet at being a million seller.

What they should do is use Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. gameplay with Advance Wars IP.

They better not make more Wii U ports. If there are more Wii U ports in 2018 I'm done with Nintendo for good.

Why? A poor lineup with Wii U ports would be bad, but with a good selection of new games, it's just icing on the cake.

Wii U ports mean the Wii U was a scam, because I could just skip it. Nintendo should have waited until Switch 2 to release Wii U ports.

I'm not saying they're doing anything wrong it's what works for them, it's just not of interest to me.  A lot of people love playing Mario and Zelda and Smash and MK and such over and over.  I honestly was excited and I got a WiiU when Smash came out and got Mario Kart and everything.  I love having Nintendo stuff for 4 player local MP.  But their SP stuff just bores me personally.  And I don't like the Zelda decisions they made (hated weapon degredation ever since Diablo II).  So yeah I'm just done with them for now.  Maybe I'll pick up a switch down the line but I honestly don't foresee it after owning the previous 2 consoles (when I was a kid my one friend always had Nintendo so I played many of their games before that and loved them).

Diablo 1 had weapon durability.  Only question is can you repair it in Zelda like Diablo?

You can't repair anything in BotW except the Master Sword. There are four weapons which can be rebuilt but you need specific items and it's too much of a hassle.
