This was earlier today at the Yodobashi Camera in Osaka’s Umeda, but people are reporting that this store sold out within hours. Today, Nintendo shipped out the console to multiple retailers and cities across Japan.

So yes, shops are getting the Switch in stock, but it’s flying off the shelves and, as you can see below, displays are covered in notices that read 完売 (kanbai or “sold out”) or 売り切れ (urikire or “sold out”).

The Switch sales are still being constantly sold out despite the huge number of Switches being sold. That is crazy as not even the Wii could do that. It looks like we won't know the true demand in Japan until next year. We are definitely not going to see ample supply this year.

Honestly good on Nintendo for creating something that is in demand after the last few years of bad luck.

The Switch has still not yet reached it's full sales potential in Japan it seems.

Switch last week sold 85k in Japan and again was sold out, it crazy to think that with this sales Switch still dont have baseline.
