well they did confirmed that we'll be able to explore parts of Midgar that we've never seen before. In the original if IIRC, we only been to 2 sectors of Midgar.

Still worried the combat system will just become another FFXV.

Fingers crossed it's not and we can have something special. Heck. i'd be ok if it was like KH's, though i secretly wish they kept the ATB in there.

Speaking of this. I remember how in the second visit to Junon, me and a friend had alot of fun slapping scarlet around (like it was a once sided contest, Tifa was slapping her silly). Ah... good times. xD

At least it's a playable filler(I hope), maybe we'll see Cloud in a playable dress-up game or dance dance revolution mini-game(did he even dance? can't remember) in that specific part.

People forget that this has already been done in gaming. Xenosaga series were also 3 separate episodes telling one full arch of story but each one Independent enough to be played as a standalone game but also a much more valuable experience for those who played all episodes. So this is not a first time in gaming.

This game makes me so nervous. I want to love it, but I am afraid that I'm going to hate it. That line about FFVII being like Star Wars is not a good thing. Lucas went back and changed a bunch a bunch of stuff in Star Wars and pissed off his biggest fans. I don't want this game to be like Star Wars.

Star wars fanbase are some of the worst out there. I mean, they created a whole subculture around it and now want to rule more than the author. For me the point when any work of media like books, tv series, games or movies turn to be mediocre is when they stop being a vision from their creators and start being fan Service and the author start to downright making choices to please the fans and dont do things theyd like to do out of fear of fan reaction.

Game of thrones séries were great until the point when they were adapting the novels and there weren't much room to fan Service. I dont want a fanservice based Ff 7...

I'm triggered......

I am not talking about making sequels that pander.  I am talking about making changes to a work that already exists.  Let Square Enix do whatever they want to FF16.  But it sounds like they want to seriously change FF7.  I personally liked it just the way it was.  I mean I would have been happy if they updated graphics and added voice acting, but everything I am hearing from Square-Enix makes this sound like a complete reboot.

well look at this wallpaper, in the original game Sephiroth didn't show off his one-wing form. But it looks like he will in the Remake.
