Forums - Gaming Discussion - Final Fantasy VII Remake ["leak" interviews] [Spoilers?]

I mean how would he know random details like Odin's attack and when they're revealing Aerith. I'll keep an open mind. Sounds like we can get episode 1 in 2019 though. Same year as hopefully The Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding. PS4 is going in for the Kill. And possibly PS5 to piggy back off of it.

Do you have a link of that?

I think this was the leak, and I assume this is what the leaker if referring to when he says they have been nerfed, not that they will be nerfed from the Advent Children character model.

I don't know if that was an actual pic of her or not.

This sounds believable. I mean FF7 is Square's biggest trump card so they'll pull out all the stops for this.

They even took Tetsuya Nomura off FFXV for this! Meaning FFXV could've been so much better if they kept him on but nope, Square was willing to sacrifice FFXV for FF7R lol

Maybe he was talking about the boob physics, not the actual size. lol?

Yeah, dunno if that is in-game or concept art, concept I think. I do remember seeing it referred to as a leak last year though. I definitely would be happy with them nerfing them if that was real FF7 Remake concept art of her, those are much too big. She'd be ridiculously top heavy for a fighter with bazongas that massive. Her Advent Children model was perfect, no reason to change her proportions from that model, just update the outfit to match the original game.

I don't mind her being really busty myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were smaller than that picture shows.

A: Three episodic releases, all full games. They are just calling them episodes so people understand it one huge story.

Square Enix didn't call it "episodes". That was a mistranslation into English.
In Japanese Square Enix said "multi game series".

The initial goal a few years ago was part 1 and 2, with no episodes, but it quickly became evident that they wanted to push this further than any FF ever; they wanted a repeat of the way FFVII changed the way games were viewed and they are going to do that again. This is the game they want to be remembered by 50 years from now, their legacy. Each episode also has a subtitle. This is SE’s Star Wars.

Huh? Part 1 and Part 2 with no episodes...?
He just explained that the term "Episode" was supposedly only used to describe full games.
Now all of a sudden he is differentiating between these fgull games (Parts) and "Episodes"...

Sounds like this is not only a made up leak, but the person who made it forgot their own talking points.

Unless this person has some prior credibility of leaking something, this looks like a lazy effort.

I think he means they was going to call it FF7R Part 1 at first, but then changed it into FF7R Episode 1 because it's still one game.

This sounds pretty damn good if true. I'm impressed.

And uh

"Tifa's tits have been slightly nerfed though.[sigh]"

Wow.

To be fair, they needed to be nerfed, at least if that concept art leak of her from last year was real. Her boobs in that art were like 30-40% bigger than they were in Advent Children.

I think that artwork was a hoax. Don't quote me on that though.

How the hell can they make a 40 hour game into three 50 hour games?

We live in an era where they made three movies out of the hobbit. So the answer is by adding a lot golf stuff. That also explains the long development time.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Hey, if they're making a fishing game, they might as well add golf!

I guess a lot of that time will be transferred to traveling the world as FFVII's original maps are going to be very small compared to these. But yeah other than that I'm curious as well. Especially seeing that it's not the classic ATB system with load screens and all.
