But they also say progression won't be paid. I'm sure they will bring back paid micro transactions but only for co-op or for cosmetics.

Best case scenario with that is that they put it back in once they turn the game F2P.

Where do they say that they're permanently removing the ability to get Star Cards etc. out of Loot Boxes? The way it sounds to me is that now you can just earn that stuff through progression on top of acquiring them via Star Cards.

Reading the statement with typical PR bullshit in mind:

  • Crystals are only being removed temporarily. For how long? We don't know. Could be a week, could be a month, could be 3 months.
  • "all progression will be earned through gameplay" I'm missing a very important word here: "just", it should say "all progression will be earned just through gameplay". Nowhere does it say that they're removing Star Cards from Loot Crates.
