I haven't play any of the dlc and expansion, so I don't know if it's good or not.

Its Final Fantasy. If you have been following the series this should not even be a question. If not then, why yes, its a great game.

I haven't been following it. I only played the ones I really knew I'd love - 10 and 12 remaster. This one looks kind of interesting but I don't feel nearly as confident about it based on word of mouth. However, 12 wasn't recieved so well at launch but is retrospectively looked back upon in a good light. Kinda wondering if 15 will be similar in reception

FF12 went through the same exact problem as 15; a bunch of loud mouth whinny boys pissy because 12 wasnt like 10 ( or 7/8). Its looked at now in a good light because those loud mouth whinny boys went purchased the game anyways (like they always do)   and found out 12 is a phenomenal game. Pinnacle of the series.

The composer is Nobuo Uematsu. That's all. the only redeeming factor for this game.

It has 30 hours worth of content, so well worth it. 

Playing FFXII again and still think it so boring and even worse now. With a little more than a million in sales I think the fans are the ones who mostly bought the remaster.

I never played the original and bought the remaster and I really like it. The main gripe is the lead, vaan is weak. The RPG elements and battle system are fun though, as a newcomer not too familiar with the series 

I think you will enjoy Final Fantasy XV, its a good game. Not as good as some of the others, but still good.
