Ha man you guys have played some really old games. I played Until Dawn finally this year. That game is awesome. Never expected to like it so much.

System Shock 2 (1999). Back then my 1997 PC was too slow, later, having missed special offers and classic editions when I used Win 2000, that could run almost anything, my successive HW+Win XP configuration had too many compatibility problems, Win 7+new HW solved most of them, so when GOG gave SS2 away to anybody registering and installing its Galaxy utility, I finally caught the opportunity.

I really wanted to get a boxed copy of that game, but it's too expensive for my price range.

Possibly Double Dragons NES

In my case, it has to be Pacman (1980). Although it's the NES version, so 1984.

In a way, Half-Life (1998) except it was the Black Mesa remake.

If that doesn't count: Sim City 4 (2003)

Funny you mentioned Heroes 2. Some time ago I was playing Heroes 3 with a friend of mine. Gosh, we love that game...! It could be the oldest game I've played this year. I'm not sure... Sometimes I do bring out old games to play just for fun. I can't recall what games I may have played that would be older than Heroes 3.

I prefer Heroes 2 over 3 because of visual style, but I have probably spent more time playing 3 anyway.

I've never played 2 actually so I don't know how that plays. 3 was the 1st one I've played from the series. My friends and I tried a few of the following games, but although they were decent games we prefer 3.

HOMM3 is great. I rediscovered it recently and it has a ton of fan-made content, new campaigns and new fractions. That's pretty great. You basically can play it endless.

Yeah yeah, like Horn of the Abyss! The new content looks so good it look official.  My friend and I had a blast playing with the new stuff in there! The pirate team is pretty sweet, and all the extra artifacts and structures were a lot of fun to discover. I just wish they made the other content they had planned...

Been playing lots of games on both NES classic and SNES classic. Balloon Fight (1986) was probably the earliest game that was also new to me.

Dragon Quest I (1986)

                         II ( 1987)

                         III (1988)

Metal Slayder Glory (1991)

Spuer Metroid          (1994)
