Forums - Gaming Discussion - What is the oldest game you played in 2017

I didn't expect so many in 80s and early 90s. I can't go under 96-97 myself na mean

Edit: I forgot I played Full Throttle (1995) remastered this year but it was hardly remaster, I don't know why they even called it that.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Around the Network

Probably Punch Out for the NES. It was the 3DS virtual arcade version, though.

As far as the actual, physically old disc/hardware, probably The Maw on Xbox 360.

Super Mario 64 (1996)

If we're only talking games I had never played before this year probably Castlevania Symphony of the Night (1997).

The games on SNES Mini.

Final Fantasy VII

Around the Network

I played and completed Super Mario Bros. in preparation for Odyssey.
Man, have we come a long way.

Ultima-1981

高橋名人の冒険島 [Adventure Island] (1986). My GF got me to download it because it was her favourite growing up, and to my surprise it still holds up really well today. I had a lot of fun, it's probably my second-favourite 2D platformer now, just behind SMB3. Sad that it failed in the West, but with a boring title like that one can understand why.

Final Fantasy V, the original 1992 game.

Legend of Zelda, Link's Awakening on my GBA SP.
