It doesn't really matter about a studio's lineage. Once the original leadership moves on, it becomes nothing more than a name. The people running these studios know that, which is why they eventually leave, take their profits, and start up another studio.
Talent and skill are what make a studio great, not the name on the sign.
I do care that people lost jobs, though, which is why it sounds so bloody juvenile when someone whines that "I hope x studio is next because I don't like their games." Fuck off with that entitled bullshit.
Actually now that I take a closer look at that list, it is not a entirely truthful representation from OP ... (some of these subsidiaries exist to some extent)
DreamWorks Interactive is still in operation, their now known as DICE LA ...
Maxis Software is still active ...
Bioware Montreal was merged into EA Motive so the studio exists in some form ...

That is kind of like EA smearing the blood of the studio on another studio to grant good luck.
The studios are effectively dead; EA just never burned the bodies.

Muscle spasms do not always indicate the presence of life.
Given that Titanfall 2 didn't sell well, I can see Respawn being next if the next one fails too.

Are you saying that, being chained up in the dungeon of EA's mobile division is not a prosperous environment?

Are you attempting to argue otherwise?
