Forums - Microsoft Discussion - X1X sells 80k+ first week in U.K

Comparing the launch of the Pro to the X is pretty different. PS4 was not a true 4K console. Modest improvements, where as the X is much worthy of the upgrade. Plus, it's another year of 4K TV's price dropping and consumers upgrading. It makes a lot of sense to jump in with the X than it was with the Pro. But we'll see how long it sustains. I think it drops down to be much more comparable to the Pro. You can still walk into stores and pick up an X. That's insane for a console debut. The fact the Project Scorpio editions are still available is interesting as well.

Also don't forget MS put a lot of marketing into it and is preparing and announcing for like 18 months. So FW was expected to be good.

What you said is still incorrect."If it keeps up" means it already started. we need at least 2 refrence points to say its keeping up.

The die hards are still a minority that buys multyple consoles wich infate their number even more, so the die hards will be done with by the end of he month. It will be the same as before, come january they might as well stop making the xbox untill E3.

Yes, my OPINION is incorrect. The system seems to be selling fine on Amazon when it's available if you need a point of reference. I mean, there may actually be some people that want the system. I wouldn't get my sodium levels up over it

Yes you OPINION on what momentum is, is incorrect. That there may actually be people that want the system may be true. Ill take amazon into account, it is a good indicator, although not so much for the hollidays.

Tell me, WHAT did I say momentum is?

Those are some good numbers, though seeing how little the PS4 Pro sold after it's launch, I doubt it will manage the sustain those sales.

You dint say what it was, you said the x had it, I told you what it is and why it dosent have it yet, yet you still claimed it had it. So you either think is something that it is not, or you hope it will have it in the future. or both.

IIIIFFFFFF I said IIIIFFFFFF. There's a HUGE degree of difference in what I've said and what you've interpreted.

Verb conjugation.

You said "If momentum sustain", for something to sustain it must previously exist.

So it's a little nitpick but you were essentially discussing what is momentum in this context.

I am referring to a possible future event. IF Xbox develops a momentum post opening numbers. You know what? I don't even care anymore. I hope Xbox sells a billion consoles and gets a monopoly now just to spite all of you... and I don't even want an Xbox. Phooey!

uk seams to have about the same stock issues as the US. Sold out at some/most retailers but not all. Should be able to hit 300k launch week in America then.... around 500k npd?

Nope. Readily available from most large retail chains (Argos, Currys etc)

OT: Impressive numbers for a £450 console. That's actually really expensive for a console here.

I think the bundle do help it mind. Most XB1 X in the UK come with at least one AAA game from Microsoft.

Great numbers, congrats Microsoft.

Now let's see if they can keep it up throughout the holidays.
