Forums - PC Discussion - New Vega and ryzen APU Notebook for $599 just released!

I'm going to buy a few for Christmas gifts before they sell out.

Here is a link to some good info on the APU chips
https://www.pcworld.com/article/3234649/laptop-computers/amd-mobile-ryzen-7-and-ryzen-5-with-vega.html

A little too pricey for that level of chip they are selling IMO ...

If it was a 45 watt TDP part with a freesync + HDR10 capable display at $600, it would've been well worth it at that value ...

Screen size is too big, 13.3" is the ideal size (14" max).

Still need to try a 12.5" laptop to check the portability and keyboard.

You say tomato, I say tomato

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

Well I'm curious to see how well this APU can handle games.

I'd like to see some APUs on the market that handle games better than X1 or PS4. That could probably make gaming PCs cheaper.

I don't care about generic on-paper specs I need meaty benchmarks

agree. should see some data very soon

Do we have some gaming benchmarks somewhere? I'm very skeptical of this price tag, not expecting very much from it.

They need to release gaming laptops ASAP that are cheap. In the UK the prices of gaming laptops are literally stupid.

There needs to be ones with Apu in about the 299 399 range and not 899 999

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

there are... they are just low end.

high end tech that is small enough costs a lot of money. just look at high end phones as an example
