We need to see what Pokemon Switch is like before semi-accurate predictions can be made.

Whilst most of us make jokes about Pokemon GO, it has built up huge amounts of positive pressure towards the Pokemon IP.
Pokemon Switch could single-handedly carry the Switch over the PS4's lead.

Three years was simply how long I feel 8th Gen has left. Even if it outsold the PS4 by 20% every week for the next FIVE years, it wouldn't do anything. PS4 has too much of a headstart, and despite what some people insist, Switch is an 8th Gen and will likely be replaced around the same time as the PS4.

Well there you go. You expect it to overcome the decefit and whatever ground it makes in the years it takes to overcome that deficit.

So you seriously expect that Switch will have a lifecycle of 4.5 years at max? Switch launched 3.5 years after PS4, but it'll get replaced at the same time. Obviously.

And that's not even addressing how completely illogical it is to think that Switch selling 20% more than PS4 for the next five years is some sort of difficult feat. You do realize that at least 4 of those years are going to be after PS4's peak, right?

Ok you know what, now you are just changing argument right there, because that was not the point.

And honestly, i won't even expain to you why i think this will be the case, for the simple fact that you still don't understand the conpect of the console. You, and a lot of guys, but maybe / probabily you will all start to understand how Switch concept is in a few years, and you will understand why.

You seriusly don't understand that THE ONLY reason this isn't happen yet is because of stock issue? For real? And because for the nexts years PS4 will slow down? I mean, is not THAT hard to understand...

My entire argument is that the Switch will now Sell more LT than the PS4. That's literally the topic of the thread.
I understand the switch, I understand why it's selling and I understand that it's selling very very well but what I don't understand is why you think it will outsell PS4 LT. Reaching 60 million will happen but will be tough, and that's just to get where the PS4 was a couple of months ago. 

Every year people have said the PS4 will slow down, this train is only getting started ;) 

The gaming market overall is growing year on year.
The Switch, releasing years after the PS4 should give it a natural LT sales edge.

Also, China.

I expect the PS4 to sell 100-120 Million lifetime with the PS5 releasing in early 2020, and if Nintendo releases a fully handheld Switch model for $150 in 2019/2020 I expect the Switch to release 100-130 million lifetime, otherwise I expect the Switch to cap at about 80-90 million.

So it depends on Nintendo more than anything.

How so? Intrigued to understand that.

China? That'll be interesting to see but I really doubt the Chinese market will add much. Just because there's a lot of people doesn't mean sales are massive, ie India.
