#35
This is the only game in this long series where a relative of the protagonist, who is mostly a lonely person, dies.

Game #37

Hint 1: Your vehicle sticks to the ground.

Mario Kart 8?

As guessed by S.Peelman, the game is Mario Kart 8.

Well, what to say about Mario Kart. The whole series is a great fun-racer. Perfect for couch multiplayer. Mario Kart 8 has great mechanics and a lot of content (at least if you include the DLCs) so it makes the list.

Between the many single- and multiplayer-modes and great roster of drivers and the big amount of cars to choose, you can have a great lot of fun and get to the game later anytime.

That game single-handedly kept the WiiU for some time on elevated sales-levels. It's recent rerelease on Switch includes all the DLC.

game #33

Hint 1: This famous adventurer with a hat and a whip is the hero of this game and the movie.

Hint 2: This game corresponds to the third movie of the series.

Guessed by S.Peelman and LiquidLaser: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure (because yes, there was a second game based on the last crusade)

Thanks, but technically I was thinking about that NES platformer so I didn't really guess it.

Oh, interesting. I didn't even thought about that other game, until LiquidLaser was giving the full title that differentiates the two.

38: Command and Conquer Red Alert. Not sure if 1 or 2.

37:  Not sure so I will say Super mario bros 2

36: Batman Arkham City.

38 and 36 are correct, 37 is not. 38 is the first Red Alert.

#38  Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
Previous Year: #33

The Command & Conquer series has always been my favourite RTS franchise, and Red Alert 2 is in many way the best game in it. This was still before the series began to experience a slow decline at the hands of EA, with the trademark Red Alert humour at its best here. However, this is not my favourite game in the entire series, but we'll get to that later.

#37 Mega Man 4
Previous Year: #32

Although many people see either Mega Man 2 or 3 as the peak of the original Mega Man series, for me it has always been the fourth entry. The introduction of the Mega Buster was a great way to add new elements to the gameplay, and the bosses and music are among the series' best.

#36 Batman: Arkham City
Previous Year: #36

The peak of the Arkham games. Arkham City built upon the foundation laid by Asylum, improving on its shortcomings and expanding the game's world, while still staying small enough and focused so as to not lose what made the first game so great. The battle system is still excellent, the story is the best in the series, the boss battles were vastly improved over the first game, and the voice acting is near perfect. The best superhero game ever made in my opinion.

And here are the hints for the next three games:

#35: Climbing ancient landmarks, but this time in Italy.

#34: The last member of a species of dangerous aliens helps you defeat the game's final boss.

#33: The second game in the series. Has one of the most famous train levels ever.

Lies ;>).

Your information suggests you might add the first one later though I hope :). Both are fantastic games in my top 50 as well.

Yeah, I realized that myself later as well. I somehow completely blanked out on the game and said the wrong one. Actually the first Red Alert isn't quite on my list, but another game in the series still is. Red Alert was very close to making it though. If I remember correctly, it's around 55-60 in my top 100 games list.

#36 This PC game lets you get as close to the D&D experience as possible through adventure creation and even allowing the GM to change the adventure on the fly.
Hint 2: Although the game came with a full single player campaign, the level editor was touted as the game's main feature.

#35 This is the first SNES entry in a very prolific franchise. It has arguably the best controls for your main weapon compared to every other entry in the franchise.
Hint: The game involves you fighting your way through the home of the game's main protagonist.

Time to add some more clues

#36 Hint 3:The title refers to a city in the Forgotten Realms, and it's not Baldur's Gate

#35 Hint 3: At the end of this game you battle the most evil being in the world, and it's not the devil.
