The first game in a series where the numbers in each game's name add up to '9'. I don't know why that is though...

I dont understand anything haha, but i throw Anno 1602 into it

6.Dead or Alive: Ultimate

Unfortunately this whole series often gets dragged down as being a T&A franchise or easy for casuals to play. I think the sexualization of the characters is pretty annoying. However, it's hard to deny that the games are very fun. Dead or Alive: Ultimate on the Xbox is my favourite and it includes the song Wired, which may actually be my favourite song of all time.

i agree, DOA is the only fighting game i cant beat on the hardest difficult. But why you think the sexualization is so annoying? In my personal opinion without it the game would lose a lot of its personality, i mean you dont hear people saying how the gore and violence in Mortak Kombat is annoying? Of course some used to but as much as people complain about DOAs qualities now.

I think it's annoying that they have to sexualize every single female character. Some like Tina it makes sense with her personality, but others like Kasumi or Kokoro it doesn't fit the character.

As for Mortal Kombat, I think it doesn't make sense when Raiden and Liu Kang are killing people and ripping guts out.

Really? Go to DOA1

- Breast physics

- Kasumi having a skimpy bottom fighting dress, alsways showcasing her panty with every kick

- intro almost showing her niples (console versions not just arcade)

All female characters were sexualized since DOA1

Admittedly the game probably would have been forgotten and we would have no sequels if there were no bouncing breasts. Just like Mortal Kombat would have certainly been forgotten if it wasn't for the blood and gore.

You understand enough, because Anno 1602 is correct!

game #9

Hint 1: You must leave the keep you were raised at the beginning of the game. You'll find more friends along the way, and have to decide which one travels with you and who will not.

Hint 2: This game changes a turn-based RPG-system in the backgrounds into a real-time game with pausing. This sort of gameplay was setting new standards for the time.

#9 is Baldur's Gate?

My #9 game is Baldur's Gate as The_Liquid_Laser correctly guessed.

Baldur's Gate was the first game based on the Infinity Engine developed by BioWare (back then they weren't part of EA). The Infinity Engine allowed new gameplay. It had pre-rendered backgrounds with the sprites of characters and objects overlayed in a top-down isometric view. For Baldur's Gate the D&D-license was used, but they used automatic attacks in combination with pausing for giving commands to allow for real-time-combat.

In Baldur's Gate you create your character based on the D&D-system, which starts out at the fort Candlekeep were you grew up. One day your mentor hastily wants you to leave the keep with him. Outside you encounter a figure that demand of your mentor to hand you over. Your mentor denies this request and fights to allow your escape. On your own now you try to uncover the secret.

The gameplay is pretty straightforward. You click on the map to walk towards that point and uncover more of the map in the process. You can talk to people or as I said before fight in real-time with the option to pause and issue commands. This is especially important if you want to unleash spells. This engine was used not only for Baldur's Gate, but also for the RPGs Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment.

The world is based on the D&D campaign-setting Forgotten Realms in the region of the Sword Coast.

The game recently got a remake with enhanced graphics.
