What?! Since when are Millennials optimists?

Have you seen the internet? It's filled with negativity ever since they arrived. xD

Well i guess i fit in there, but i don't really agree with the generalization of the descriptions.

The internet magnifies negativity or sensationalism.  You see a YouTube video, and common to see the most replied comment being the most controversial one.

I'm not sure what the internet was like before millennials because their arrival marked the mass market adopting the world wide web.  Most people of any age range got online in 1997-2003 era, right when millennials would be 14-23 age depending on which criteria you use.

Oh... thats odd. That age ranged is tricky there and doesn't match with the OP.

Well, i dunno, i think it's a huge silly generalisation. But, the more people that got in the internet, the worst it has become. I remember it beeing a healthy place in the 90's. Good times.

There is no agreed upon format for "generations" as the whole concept is invented.  I've heard millennials started anywhere from 1978 to 1986 depending on the source.  The challenge is if you did a 15 or 20 year generational model people at either end have less in common within a generation than those they are closer to in the prior or next one.

I'd agree with the internet becoming a worse place as it became so ingrained in life.  There was no social media in the 1990s, which is where I'd argue are the worst offenders of toxic environments.

1981. Xennial it is, I guess. I definitely have that "get off my lawn" cynicism thing going on. But I fully understand technology. I just don't see the need for all these specialized forms of social media.

Optimism and Drive? Haha, yeah right. I fit but that bit... no no.

Hmm, pie.

Born in 1982. And I definitely possess both the cynicism and the drive you talk about in the original post. ;P
