Mass Effect Trilogy
Dragon Age Trilogy
Dead Space Trilogy
Sims 4
A good Mirror's Edge game

The big advantages all these games have is that they're all well-known and have some type of parallel to a popular franchise or genre that has a history on Nintendo platforms. There's RPGs (Dragon Age/Mass Effect), Life Simulations/Animal Crossing (Sims 4),  Platforming/3D Mario (Mirror's Edge) and Survival Horror (Dead Space). The problem with EA using FIFA as their testing game is that even though it's popular, there's no connection with Nintendo fans. Nintendo fans don't have a history with sports sims on Nintendo platforms because companies like EA have largely ignored them or have given them scraps for generations.

Well, the switch is a new system and thus you can't hardly just label them all as Nintendo fans. The console is young, the fanbase is not yet cemented.

In so speaking of that, EA attitude doesn't inspire sports fans to purchase a Switch. So they released one FIFA. Big deal. The game could be amazing and a perfect port, but why would sports fan buy a Switch for it when EA's future with the Switch is a giant question mark? If I'm a sports fan, I will get the games on a system I know will continue to get those games. I have no idea if FIFA 19 will be on the Switch. I have no idea if Madden, or any other sports game will be on the Switch. Thus I will stick to the system I know they will be on.

In that sense, you will not build your base on the Switch. The Switch will have no fanbase of sports fans and thus your games will sell like shit on them. This "wait and see, or testing" that companies doe only hurts them when they state things like that.

Same for the Wii era and FPS. You have like one CoD game released it seemed like. Practially zero FPS games beyond that. Obviously any other FPS games would do poorly because fans of FPS didn't buy a WIi. There was no reason to. The genre they like was not on the system. They are not going to buy a Wii for one game. They would buy a Wii if it had a big library of FPS games to play.

just do what they do on other systems. no need for tests lol.

They must test the Nintendo consumer.  We are like an alien species to them.  They need to put us into a room and run tests along with some intense focus groups.  At the end of all it they will decide that next years FIFA will be their final shot.

I didn't vote since I think the switch is a better place with no EA games.

In terms of game, Bloomblox was actually pretty good for a puzzler.

The issue was that despite this being an 'major' exclusive, it didn't get a lot of good advertisement and a puzzle game even on the Wii is more or less a niche sell unless a major name is attached, which Steven Spielberg might be among movies and tv but not so much among gamers. Dead Space Extraction was a much better case but because they went for the on rails shooter genre, which was a heavy concentrated genre among the Wii for obvious reasons, they came off as looking lazy despite it being a good game.

Honestly, it seems like in a lot of cases EA is like a average guy that tries to ask a girl out but either dresses badly or opens with a offensive pick up line. Despite none of their 'tests' being bad, they usually make it seem worst then it is by doing something that seems like they are cutting corners or releasing an inferior product or just threw something out there that wasn't a major product and are calling it that.

Little to no advertising doesn't help either.

From the poll C&C. It should be Theme Hospital instead, although we do have CorsixTH.

EDIT: The patients are EA customers, see their satisfaction.

Theme Hospital would be good to see make a come back though. Wouldn't be a huge seller, but it could easily be made on a small budget so that shouldn't be an issue.

Theme Hospital would be magical, show they care about their old IP... although I would not expect much from the EA reboot, they will most likely mess it up and disrespect Bullfrog's mantra.
