I think I might have to retroactively make Doom my GOTY for 2016.

Even playing the Switch version, it sure beats anything else I played that came out last year.

i'm in the same boat as you.

it's unique, has various enemy types, exploration, fun weapons and upgrades...

it was built for fun and only fun. no money grabbing or unfair advantages.

high quality game right here.

This should sell a few hundred thousand on the Switch through the holidays easily.

Hopefully it reaches the million mark lifetime and sends a message that Switch owners want more games like this.

i really hope it sells that well. i do think there's a market for doom on switch: a lot of nintendo fanboys have major nostalgia for the past: doom's history on snes included.

Soooo much better than I was expecting. It's tough, too. I think I'm going to brake it down and play on easy mode. Gorgeous, gorgeous game. I can't believe my screen when I look at it.

don't break down! the harder modes make the game more exhilarating.

definitely beyond pleased by the game. it's an amazing successor to the franchises' heralded past.

I haven't played this on Xbox or PS so I decided to pick it up for Switch and I have to say I am delightfully impressed with the game.

For 30fps this game runs very smooth and fast. Doesn't bother me at all, in fact I think it plays just fine. The graphics are good, not great but very good.

Very happy with the game so far. I may have to buy it for XOX now.

I was worried myself that the FPS would be noticeable, but upon playing the game it doesn't bother me at all.

That's it, it's so hard to find games nowadays that focus on fun first and foremost instead of spectacle, money-grubbing, and aping Hollywood.

Well, games like Resident Evil and COD were able to pass the million mark on Wii many times.
