ROTJ is better than ANH, and depending on what day you ask me, is better than ESB.

That is your opinion.

It's also a pretty bad one, might I add.

I dont usually get ensnared by nostalgia (except Speed Racer)

Star Wars has become the Call of Duty of movies. It has become a generic franchise with no heart. Sterile mainstream crap. It wasn't even that good to begin with. The best one is of course the original, which is a good movie, not great. Empire Strikes Back is decent as well, the rest goes from mediocre to embarassing.

What the hell does any of this have to do with nostalgia?

why someone wouldnt consider ANH the weakest of the original trilogy.

I love how Jedi is still treated as the black sheep of the OT after all these years, yet it's still light years better than anything SW related that came after it INCLUDING A New Hope Redux, aka The Force Awakens.

Jedi also got tons of crap for introducing annoying side characters (Ewoks) and rehashing the Death Star plotline from the original film, then comes along the new trilogy which does all that yet again, this time with a bigger, badder Death Planet (that can still be destroyed in pretty much the same method) and Porgs!  I haven't even seen the new movie and already I hate those things!

ROTJ is better than ANH, and depending on what day you ask me, is better than ESB.

(Rogue one would go here if applicable)

I feel the same about Jedi, it's my personal fav but I do put Empire slightly ahead of it.  I enjoyed Jedi more than ANH and on par with Empire, and everything since has been one disappointment after another.

I put VII ahead of the prequels simply because of the practical effects and real sets they use as opposed to 95% CGI, and the acting is decent with some good humor sprinkled in.  And Rogue One comes of as a feature-length fanboy flick and is totally unnecessary as a SW movie.  If Disney wants to make a "tweener" episode, they should make Shadows of the Empire into the film.  We've already established that they can CGI old characters into movies regardless of whether the actors are even still alive, and Shadows takes place between Empire and Jedi so it'd be the perfect nostalgic cash grab for Disney.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Hmh.
I liked Rogue One quite a bit and TFA wasn't terrible, but I don't think I'll be watching any Star Wars after the 9th film.

From my point of my view the Jedi are evil.

And I'm totally not surprised by this. I have a feeling my grandkids will be watching new Star Wars movies.

They are able to pull off a 2 second shot of a young Princess Leia, but please no more rubbery looking Grand Moff Tarkin characters.  You can instantly tell that's not the original actor, but instead a stand in with obvious CGI grafted over the face.   To do a whole film reliant on young Luke, Han, and Leia as central characters with that kind of CGI facial grafting would be just awful.
