False.
The PC can be portable on top of having superior visuals, controls and performance.

The portability of a Laptop cannot be compared with the portability of a Switch. Not even close.

You are making the false assertion that the only portable form factors that the PC has is Laptops.
The PC comes in all different shapes and sizes.

Yep. This is a PC:

Look a PC:

This PC has even infiltrated the car:

This is a PC:

This is also a PC:

They call this a PC as well:

Another PC:

Obviously a PC:

And yet another PC:

And of course this is also a PC:

In short. If you can think it. The PC has probably already done it.

1. A PC for >$1000 that has a battery rate of 3 hours, is usually huge, and weighs several pounds

2. A hybrid for $300 which has some compromises, but weighs a pound and is 6.3 inches

Compromises either way, but it's clear which one is more portable

The argument wasn't about the degree of portability, battery life or cost. Don't shift the goal post.

X1 deserves 2 points more than PS4 because the controller of X1 makes the game better in case you don't know... and is better than the PC version even if you can choose between X1 control or KB+M because the higher framerate, textures and resolution are distractful (sarcasm).

That is entirely subjective of course. Some people actually do prefer the Playstations controller and symmetrical analogue sticks.
(I know you were joking. Haha.)

Pocky Lover Boy!

As other said I too have it on PC and played it on there and liked it wasnt too impressed but was a good game.
Im super curious to get it on Switch just for the novelty factor and to see how it performs

http://moongypsy.bandcamp.com/ ~Thank you Stefl1504 for the amazing sig~

I've been playing it on the Switch. Never played the other versions. It's pretty impressive to me.

You do realize most of those are quite less portable than a Switch right? And some are tablets with lower specs than Switch and maybe 1 hour of battery for gaming, some of those things don't even have a screen, not exactly great for gaming on the go.

Most people buy either a normal PC or a normal laptops, some those look like rarities and not exactly great options for gaming.

You do realize I never explicitly stated they are all portable? That they all have to have screens? And some don't have a battery at all? Some get a longer battery life than Switch and also have superior specs?
If those are the only things you can poke at, then you have missed the entire point of my post, go back and re-read and understand the context I was attempting to frame it in please.

The fact of the matter is, the Switch version of Doom is the crappiest version.
The textures, lighting, shadowing, resolution, framerate, anti-aliasing, texture filtering, load times and more have all been downgraded.

The fact it's 30fps alone has a direct impact on controls and gameplay and will thus not be as fluid and precise and that should be reflected in the scores.

So then you could have listed switch, ps4 and XBO as a PC too lol or a Microwave screen xD

No, what we usually use as a PC or laptop doesn't give you the same level of flexibility that Switch gives you, that was the  point I made before you started posting a bunch of pictures about tablets and strange objects that nobody would use for gaming.

Well I've had it for a full day and I can honestly say based on what people are saying this is my own opinion.

I much prefer to play in Docked mode. Yeah it is a little fuzzy and the Depth Of Field effect is a bit OTT imo but aside from that it looks great. I've not ran into any problems at all and honestly it's just refreshing to have a game as good as this run as good as it does on the switch. It really is a Technical Marvel.

Now I actually like playing in Handheld mode for doom aswell. I actually thought I was gonna hate it cause I can't play Splatoon 2 in Handheld and usually I use motion controls for that but it does work surprisingly well this way. The only thing that really is Jarring is how much worse the game looks in this mode, to me at least, especially since docked and undocked basically have the same resolution for the majority of the time.

It's a great game though. I've run into the audio bug once where the sound completely cuts outand that really the only bad thing I can say about it.

If any team were to deliver their game like what Panic Button have done. Regarding AAA games that are too much to tun on the switch then I'd be happy.

Is that an audio bug where you close the map and get some randomly loud feedback?
I just had that happen and my TV was turned up. Scared the shit outta me.

Outside of the one bug, I've been having a great time. The game runs about as well as I could've hoped for, and it hardly deters from the experience. Just non-stop brutalism, and adrenaline packed fun.
I've also tried it in handheld mode, and I thought the resolution actually scaled better to the small screen. Seemed to be less blurry, and run a tad bit smoother. The main drawback was the slightly lower graphical quality, though it overall still looked amazing for a handheld. Controls in handheld took some getting used to, but started to feel more natural after a while.

I can see myself buying it again on PC, or possibly even Xbone if I cave and buy an X, just so I can get the optimal experience. However I'll definitely be coming back to this version too, whenever I want to go out and pack something for a little bit of ultra violence.

Nah the one where the audio just completely cuts out. Fixed it by reloading my checkpoint though 👌
