Black Friday 2017: Best Buy deals on consoles and games

A good time to buy some of our favorite games of the year

Best Buy’s Black Friday deals have cropped up online, showing that the retailer is offering up many of the same prices as other stores this Thanksgiving season. There’s one big benefit to Best Buy’s offerings, though: According to its Black Friday ad, many of these deals will be available both in stores and online on Thanksgiving day.

Still, it may be the safer bet to drop by brick-and-mortar Best Buy locations on Thanksgiving, when tickets will be handed out around 3 p.m. local time. (Doors officially open at 5 p.m.) That’s because there are several huge price cuts on things like consoles, which are sure to go fast. There’s also a huge number of some of our favorite games of 2017 on sale, with the selection varying a bit from that of other places, like Target, Costco, Dell and Kohl’s.

Here’s a quick lowdown on the most eye-catching sales:

  • Xbox One S (500 GB) in white: $189.99
  • PlayStation 4 (1 TB) in black: $199.99
  • Xbox One S (500 GB) Madden NFL bundle with an extra controller: $229.99
  • Xbox One controllers: $39.99
  • PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controllers, including Best Buy-exclusive red: $39.99
  • Mass Effect: Andromeda (PS4): $14.99
  • Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4): $19.99
  • Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (PS4): $19.99
  • Resident Evil 7 biohazard (PS4): $19.99
  • Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus (Xbox One): $24.99
  • The Evil Within 2 (Xbox One): $24.99
  • The Crash Bandicoot Trilogy (PS4): $24.99
  • Nier: Automata (PS4): $24.99
  • Destiny 2 (PS4): $29.99
  • Madden NFL 18 (Xbox One): $29.99
  • NBA 2K18 (PS4): $29.99
  • Assassin’s Creed Origins (Xbox One): $34.99
  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole (Xbox One): $34.99
  • Call of Duty: WWII (PS4): $39.99

Check out the full ad for deals on TVs and DVDs as well, if that’s something you’re looking for. Remember that many of these items are sold as doorbusters, so be vigilant and prepare for a long, long Thanksgiving Day.
