That seems way too high. Would mean twice as many copies were sold in the US compared to Europe (and that's without even factoring in the rest of the world!). Europe may be behind the US in game sales, but it's only by a pretty small margin!

If you are going to count multiple platforms then Tetris and Minecratt sold over 100M units.

It is a misleading quote, they have both been bundled and they have both been sold separately. They should be more precise, they are journalists.

Of course not, though it definitely account for a decent amount I am sure (also it isn't 99 % for Wii Sports). It has been heavily bundled with PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One after all.

Retailers can bundle whatever the hell they want. There is not one official Xbox bundle as Sony has the right to that. Sony had PS3 and PS4 launch bundles and Black Friday bundle. Still easily 80m games sold unbundled.

incredible numbers, somehow unbelievable.

GTA5 seems to be one of the games, which many people have bought more than once.

Some people bought it on 2 or even 3 (or more?) devices. To be honest I dont really get it why people do so.
Buy it for one last-gen console and one current-gen console (because of obvious graphical differences) is somehow understandable to me (still should be the same game), but e.g. buying it for PS4, XboxOne and for PC (or for X360 + PS3) makes barely any sense to me. Maybe someone could explain it to me?

And no Segata, you aren't the only one to never have played GTA V and MC... I haven't played any GTA nor MC, can include COD as well.

I apologize. I knew I had seen GTA bundles everywhere, never realized it was only for PS3 and PS4. So bundle exclusivity is apparently also a thing now, lol. I wonder if it is a timed bundle exclusive deal.

How many are sold unbundled is speculation. The PS3 had very good legs compared to the competition. I guess the GTA V bundle was one of the reasons, it sold really well.

Who will get to 100M first, PS4 or GTA V????


Also I dont count Wii Sports as a game, it was a simple and small tech demo, fun for 5 minutes. The kind of demo disc you got with older consoles to try out different experiences.
