As letters when speaking in English, as words when in Finnish.
I've been thinking about this recently too, with the SNES Classic on the market. I've heard some people say Snes instead of ess-en-ee-ess. I've always pronounced all the letters but it's interesting to hear other interpretations.
Letters.
I also hate the word people. :P
Sounds weird... especially snes.
Probably a regional thing. I'm in Ontario Canada and everyone I know says it as letters. I never even heard it said as words until youtube.
Here in Spain we mostly pronounce it as words. I think I haven't met anyone here who spells the letters...
Always letters if saying it as such, though I would mostly just refer to them as Nintendo system or Super Nintendo.
Have never and will never say NES or SNES as a word.
I'm calling it Es.Ness. Fuck the police.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
I just say each letter individually.
NES as a word sounds like “Ness” from EarthBound which makes things confusing, and “SUNESS” just sounds stupid.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
