So MS might be the next Sega?

The profits and sales would be incredible/much better for microsoft. The "Minecraft" versions are already available on ps4.

MS bought the whole Minecraft thingie, including all contracts.  MS can't simply cancel existing contracts. Those are very likely extending into the future, you can bet if that weren't so, Minecraft would have long disappeared from Playstation.

As long as they sell Rare back to Nintendo and get the band back together again. That's all I care about.

Naaaah I don't really care for any MS game, but would play Forza.

If MS decide to do this, they would own the gaming industry. PS4 and Switch owners subscribing to Xbox Live will greatly boost memberships and income to the Xbox division. As a business decision its a very smart move. Hardware doesn't make money like software does.
However Sony and possibly others wont allow Live as a service on there platforms which will mean no Xbox Games.

Even if they did require xbox live subscriptions for their own games, they would do very well. You'd still need PS+ or whatever Nintendo are calling theirs to play online. Would your average COD, FIFA etc player really want to pay a second subscription just so they can play Halo as well? It would actually massively decrease their xbox live subscription figures.

How would it decease Xbox Live Subs?

MS arent just going to release there games for nothing on other consoles. They would want you to pay for them, They want you in the eco system just like there 1st party line up on PC. If you are a PS4 owner and want to play Xbox games than you would most likely have to pay another sub fee for Live to grant access to these games. There will be gamers out there that will pay up. This can also affect PSN numbers where gamers might choose to ignore PSN to gain Live.

No they won't.  What sells consoles are games, and that's the primary reason why both the Switch and PS4 are doing so well over the Xbox One.  The Xbox One is lacking when compared to the competition.  That's not to say that no Switch and PS4 owners will buy formerly 1st party Microsoft titles ported to the Switch and PS4.  But not to the degree that Microsoft "would own the gaming industry" given the fact that their own titles haven't done much to stop the Switch and PS4 onslaught.  Microsoft would arguably "own the gaming industry" if their software offerings were greater than Nintendo and Sony's combined which in turn would make the Xbox One the best selling console of this console genration.  But the reality here is that's not the case.

Xbox could just put their games on other stores? like 1year down the line, Playstation Store, just has any and all xbox first party games.

The 2 subcriptions at once,..... I dont think that would work.

Then why hasn't Microsoft gone forward with this already if it poses such an irresistable outcome?

Actually this is a misquote. They said that they have no plans to go on other platforms beyond Minecraft. Anyway if this does happen I just want the Rare Collection. Nothing else matters. Though I do expect Microsoft to slowly leave the console space unlike Sega who left quickly.
